I recently repaired a Henry that a student had used to unblock a toilet. 💩 😮 😢

My Henry just 'died' overnight; I had it 17yrs 2nd hand & was unaware of it's full age, amazed to find it's actually *33 YEARS* old-!! 1991. It worked great all that time & survived at least 2 falls down wooden stairs, obviously 33yrs is a good innings but I wish I'd followed the 'unwind cable fully when in use' & overall treated it gentler! Hope the newer 1s are as well built, I've grown quite fond of the old, slightly battered & faded beige/brown Henry I adopted! 🤎

That's a true classic! Great story. Could you send me any pictures of this Henry? I think it's worthy of a mention in our next Henry video that's coming soon.

Don't understand the bit about unwinding the cord? How does it cook?

Using a bag also helps to keep the motor healthy, if you use it bag less you are shorting the life of the motor

Absolutely. No bag is bad news for many reasons, this being the main one! Thanks for the idea and comment

Using no bag won't harm it, but unless your using it as a shop vac, just use a bag.

Controversial! Sure, it works without a bag. But it won’t last as a long and is a messy business.

Do not vacuum wet surfaces is a HUGE tip. Especially if you lend your Henry out to someone. It very much looks like a ShopVac, so the confusion is understandable.

Happens all the time! The wet vac (known as George here in the UK) is a great machine and good value for money. Deep cleaning washrooms is easy with a wet vac.
