Wow, using black soldierfly larvae to get rid of the stuff that can't go to in compost or vermicompost is what I have been looking for! That has always been a weakness in my waste production, and I am so happy to have a solution now. Would love a video specifically on the biopod sometime.

another great video after your first videos I had planted tomatoes, corn, Seminole pumpkins, and sweet potatoes I got 4 pumpkins and several ears of corn baby ones but still good lol. I started a worm bin around the same time with 150 worms I think I have in the thousand range now and built two large compost bins. I am now well on my way to sheet mulching my whole yard for a food garden!!!! thank you for all your tips and tricks

Hi Elise! Would you be willing to do a more in depth video about worm bins in florida? i'm afraid they would all die during the summer months. thanks!

A really informative video, thank you Elise........Wow, I never thought of using the onion skin and other veggie scraps to make stock!!!

You are so welcome! Its the most flavorful stock ever!
@williammcduff65313 жыл бұрын
Thanks for sharing. Since we don't have chickens we tend to make stock with our scraps or go the compost route. Our municipality also has a compost program so that takes care of things like large branches, etc....that are to hard to compost on site.

That's wonderful! So many ways to sustainably process waste.

TFS... This is much more comprehensive than most videos. I don't always think about the biopod. So many ways to eliminate food waste than just composting. I have been following for a short time but appreciate your knowledge, style and willingness to share! Also signed up for the news letter. Happy gardening! Jan from Northeast Florida🌱🐞🌿🌻🐛

Thanks for sharing. I'm also in a slow journey to zero waste lifestyle.. Do you have any suggestion on how to manage food with gravy like stew, curry ect. where do you compost the gravy that has thick gravy like coconut milk and oil?
@TheUrbanHarvest2 жыл бұрын
That goes to my chickens in moderation or the biopod for black soldier fly.
