Why do I snap hook it then, when it takes a vigorous sharp left hook at the end? Is it my rotation of hips?
@AussieGolfPros2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your question Wayne. A snap hook is caused when the clubface is very closed at impact, in relation to the swing path. Som golfers do ‘release’ the club excessively, when they stop rotating the hips and body in the downswing. Another cause of an extremely closed clubface is a strong grip. Alternatively, the clubface might be square to the target but the swing path is excessively in-to-out. Hope this has helped you understand your golf game better. Cheers Glen

@@AussieGolfPros awesome Glen, thank you. It may be my strong grip as you mentioned. I’m going to pay attention to this on my next practice. Cheers

Thanks Glen. I can draw my irons (sometimes), but not my driver. Do the same principles apply?
@AussieGolfPros3 жыл бұрын
Absolutely Gary! It’s often more difficult for many golfers to achieve the draw with the driver. This is due chiefly because the ball position is more forward in the stance (promotes fade as per the video). Other challenges include: less loft, open face at setup (due to the way the club rests and poor technique due to the length of the shaft. Thank you for touching base. 🙏
