Love the format of this video. Marcus is the GOAT for fitness content & one of the nicest duds in fitness. Super happy to see you boys spending time with him & getting his message to your audience

Been doing FBB for a year now, and 2024 was the first year since the pandemic that I didn’t have a training related injury. Thanks Marcus!!

Thank you Marcus for sharing your story about dealing with body dysmorphia. I have a similar story as a former soccer player who put on a little weight when I switched to playing club ball in college. My buddies were very quick to give me crap about the extra weight, which I in turn decided to fix with a couple of eating disorders, and I battled body dysmorphia into my 40’s. I’m turning 50 this year and know I’m in great shape, but I still let the voices creep in from time to time, but it helps to hear guys like you openly talk about it. Keep doing the great work.

The mental portion that you were talking about towards the end is incredibly important. That got me through some of the tough times I faced in my treatments in a way that nothing else could.

Cool video! Still worth saying.. training for the CrossFit games is different than the magic that’s happening in local affiliates for an hour a day. Everyone poopoos intensity nowadays but the baptism after a wod and camaraderie is unmatched

We agree. That’s why Heber brings it up in toward the end. Love a good old CrossFit class but we can learn from everyone.

Clearly there was a lot of humor implied, but it shows exactly why so many people get injured with CrossFit, too much emphasis on lifting fast and heavy with the endless pursuit of PRs. Slow and controlled is the best recipe for increasing in size and strength, especially as you get older
@ButteryBros1Күн бұрын
All of them are tools. I believe CrossFit teaches technique before intensity, but often our egos get ahead of ourselves and we forget that. Just trying to add more arrows to our quivers.

So CrossFit is kinda bs right? At best a very incomplete methodology and machines have their place in exercise health.
@ButteryBros114 сағат бұрын
Machines have their place, but often times we get caught up in only going fast and intensity instead of learning all methods of training and incorporating different techniques to improve and, constantly vary.

@@ButteryBros1don’t listen to him. You guys do well not being political and interviewing people from all kind of sports. People just gotta be negative for some reason. You already cover body building, do Ironman and marathons, you’ve had wrestlers, and all kinds of influencers on your episodes.
