FREE ADVICE- if you're a tiny person like this man, make sure your lapels are much thinner than his. Big lapels on tiny people make the look busy & encetuate the fact you are slight through the shoulder width. Slight person...slight lapel & vice versa.

The word you're looking for is notch lapel. The guy wore a peak lapel. Sure that's a bit wider than usual peaks, but that's because his suits button style is double-breasted. I somewhat agree though 👍

@edoalva48 FUN FACT- Lapels on personalized clothing is all relatively to the design set forth by the wearer. I have wide and skinny "notch lapels". It's all part of the design. Off the rack, however, hopefully you have a sales person to assist you.

@yoholmes273 a bit late but it's also worth mentioning that a slim lapel will have a modern look but a wider lapel will have a more classic look

@nedflandersmustache I appreciate the dialog. Yes, a wider lapel would be deemed more "classic". However , as a fashion conscious gentleman one must always be on guard as what is exactly fashion forward...or merely a costume. I would content , that if today, a man is wearing larger fits, with larger lapels, and say a double breast...it is close to a costume rather than fashion. We have all seen those bigs swings and misses in the style department. I always advocate for mindfulness when it comes to that regard. Cheers 🍻

Uh...So as a Professional Image consultant and owner of the firm. Your last video about interviewing attire was pretty bad. 1) Never and I do mean NEVER openly use a double-breasted jacket. I understand trying to make your mark or go against the sartorial status quo. There are much better ways than doing this. Look, I am all for younger men dressing up as almost anything is better than men wearing gym wear outside of the gym. What I would like to see is that you understand why things are made the way they are when it comes to men's wear. Our clothes tend to come from a need rather than just fashion. For example, there is a need to have broguing on your Oxford's or bleachers, and there was a need to have buttons on the collar of your BDO shirts. None of which was for style and fashion. Understanding why they are there will help you make better style choices or decisions. A book called: Dressing the Man would be a great start to understanding the how, when, and what to wear. I wish you all the luck in your KZbin content journey. You may also lookup Real Men Real Style on KZbin or come to their yearly fashion and style conference. Also, no one said you cannot do black and blue together, but rather Black and Navy is what are not the best options. As having the two together will give the appearance of you trying to pass one off as the other. Blue is fine Navy blue is not.

Definitely should've reviewed that first paragraph, I had to reread 3 times trying to understand what you were trying to say. Still not sure. Also, you're dead wrong if you think that interview outfit wasn't head and shoulders above most men's inveview wear. If you want to promote old fashions, you've got access to youtube just like everyone else. Go ahead and make some promos for your own business if you don't like how modern men are creating current fashion trends. Since your rules haven't changed in over 50 years you've got no worries about anyone stealing you ideas ☺️

@pvp6077 Look, not sure how much time you spent in HR or a position of hiring however, could NOT have been for too long. The majority of HR professionals are well aware of what is acceptable for an interview. They may not be sartorial experts however what was proposed in this video would catch their attention and, not in a good way either. How would I know this? It is because have taught at a few universities at their MBA programs. I covered the proper interview techniques and sartorial etiquette. There is NOTHING new about men's fashion as it is all cyclical and functional. You would know this if you knew what you were talking about. If I had to guess you would be one of those people who believe in putting a graphic or logo on a t-shirt and calling it fashion-forward. Well, guess what it is not in the slightest essence of the word fashion. I have worked with some of the top designers in the industry. People such as Zac Posen as well as part of the team that developed the Red fleece line at Brooks Brothers. Additionally, worked on the design team at Old Navy, and was the Market Brand Manager for JR Riggins and Oak Tree. Tell me you know nothing about fashion or career development without telling me you do not know. See your comment and this video
