First, let’s create these accent lines.
With the pen tool create a random line.
Then add a trim paths to the shape layer. Animate the start and end from 0% to 100%. Then offset the keyframes.
Now you can add lines like this.
Another way to animate a line is by breaking the chain for scale and animating the X scale only to supplement your title animation.
You can also animate your title from under the line and create a rectangle to cover over your title like this. Then set the track matte of your title to the rectangle shape.
That’s two more ways to use a line.
You can repeat a line animation across your composition by animating the position and alt-clicking the stopwatch. Type LoopOut().
Lastly, when you have a line animated with trim paths, add a repeater. Set X position to 0 and rotation to 90 degrees, then increase the copies to 4.
Now you can an accent line.
