thank you panda i never been to rio before i am Amercian hopefully this month of February will be my first time. Hopefully i will be there on the 8th or the 9th just in time for carnival i wish you could do tours of Rio i am don't know any one there

Hey! I’m sure you will have plenty of tours to choose from! You can also check on groups on Facebook if anyone would be around and up to meet you! Also, Brazilian people are very friendly, even more so during carnival :)

Great information, Obrigado! During the Sambadrome official parade the floats line up outside. Do you know if it is possible to go there and see the floats & performers up close? And where do they line up? We have Section 6 on February 11.

Glad you liked it, de nada! I don’t think you would be able to see much as they are covered until the last possible minute to keep the surprise. Also, the place they parade is kind of a street, so I think the roads arriving there would be blocked for passersby and only authorized people would be able to go in. Sector 6 is supposed to be the best and 11th is also one of the nights of the main parade, so you will have great views, I’m sure!
