Christopher Walken is beloved in my house because he was in an ensemble British drama called the Outlaws, where he plays an older guy completing community service jobs and trying to connect with his daughter he abandoned. And he's so lovely in it, you can see through the screen that he never upstages any of the other younger or less established actors.

Man, about 15 years or so ago I watched Spoony play through Ripper. I wonder if those videos still exist somewhere? Where has the time gone? I guess I'm one of those KZbin elders now...

As a loyal dirty Ronnie during that endeavour, I already knew well that Ronnie's dad got rickets and made good use of that information to make me the man I am today.

The only sex scene I ever had was in that movie with Jennifer Holland, who went on to marry James Gunn. They cut the actual scene, which I’m thankful for.

How did his accent go from 1950s transatlantic choirboy to full Walken? Was there a progression or did it happen one day. BOOM! full walken.

I think you would enjoy reading the story "Who Am I This Time?" It's by Kurt Vonnegut. Admittedly, it's been many years since I read it or saw the adaptation, but I lucked across a VHS copy of this not long after I read it, not even knowing it had ever been filmed. I don't remember if the story mentions the ages of the characters, but I believe they were supposed to be much younger than the actors here (i.e., Sarandon was 36 and Walken was 39, while the characters seemed to be in their early 20s). As enjoyable as the adaptation was, I think the story works much better the way Vonnegut tells it..

I kept thinking: boy, he looks great in Life's a Beach! He looks so grizzled and old now, but here he is in 2012 still looking pretty young and dishy. Then all of a sudden we find out it was shot in 2000. . . . .

seldom see somebody nail it in seven seconds -Walken woulda had it done in five, but hey, still pretty good for a tv show
