jason5591 Updating your graphics drivers works, make sure it’s not plugged into your motherboard too

I found it. I plugged the vr in hdmi port and used a display port wire to plug my display. It worked!!!

There was also one focus-related fix - swap your back and front cuschions on the head mount, that will make the lenses closer and FOV bigger, if you can't get the good focus with focus adjustment range, provided by default.

If you haven't fixed it yet. I had the same issue. The green led was on but the display on my headset was not turning on and my Asus laptop screen was working so I ruled out display drivers, but when I checked my device manager it had a warning on my Nvidia display adapter. Apparently just because laptop screen was working my WMR needed the latest drivers.

Error 7-14 Couldn't start Windows Mixed Reality Windows Mixed Reality is having trouble connecting to your headset. Try unplugging your headset and plugging it back in. I've tried plugging it back in restarting my computer un-installing and reinstalling mixed reality I'm starting to give up and if I cant find out the problem when the month is over I'm going to switch to oculus probably Also I only have 1 3.0 Slot so I cant switch USB slots

Right now the screen is black and the windows logo pops up for a split second and then disappears. Also a short audio queue plays; anyone know how to fix?

Try to switch to 60hz in the mixed reality setting, or try to uninstall usb driver.

Can you mod any wmr headset that you have with changing the lenses with gearvr's lenses? It improves lots of thing as sweetspot godrays screendoor effect better fov and sharpness... this mod exist mostly on vive

Murat Aksu thought the same thing!! Mixed reality is great but the sweetspot is so small. That would be an huge improvement

I found the fix for all these errors and the countless issues ive had while owning the acer hmd. Turns out all i had to do to fix every issue was sell my hmd and buy a vive. (btw half the time im using my acer wmr hmd im trying to fix an issue... no joke. Ive probably spent more time trying to make this garbage work than i have playing the damn thing)

i have an Asus WMR headset and i had the same story with mine, from day 1 most of what experienced with this headset is troubleshooting, controllers issues extensions issues fitting issues software issues windows update issues dead pixels issues etc etc etc, and now the thing just got a USB issue which is a predicament to fix IF you can fix it at all, the hell with this thing, it was ok when it worked and a NIGHTMARE when it didn't (most of it existence) as you, never touching a WMR headset ever again....

@@diamond4829 I got a Quest 2 recently and holy shit its now too easy to get into VR... Also playing desktop games wirelessly with Virtual Desktop is amazing. I highly suggest the Quest 2 unless you want that superior refresh rate and knuckles controllers

purchased a Windows Mixed Reality from Lenovo. I am with an Aspire VX 15 Gamer Notebook with a 4GB GForce 1050ti GPU and a native Intel HD Graphics 630, 16GB RAM and an Intel 7th Generation I7 processor. I have all the Windows Update Updates downloaded, I have the most current drivers working from GPUs, but when I test the Windows Portal Mixed Reality, the driver error. I've used it on the WMR on another desktop computer with Radeon GPU and it works perfectly, however, I need to run it on the Notebook to use at events. can anybody help me? Have you ever had this problem?

No display? That’s a different error this is to do with the could not download issue. Check your headset, it might be broken, or look up a fix. Make sure it’s plugged into your graphics card.

I have to upgrade my system get a new windows ( instead of the upgrade from windows 7 ), so basically spend another 3 thousand to get it working. lol ..... err .... hopefully !! Dear god.
