I think it more has to do with choreo. Nia has even said herself that she never got interesting or good choreo from abby. Kendall and nia were both good, but they never got good choreo that suited their strengths

I’m kind of surprised In My Heart and Mother weren’t in here. Poor Maddie ran off stage and poor Chloe just wasn’t having a good day - can’t blame her, the costume and music were meh. I actually really liked You Go Go Girl! The choreography was definitely an insult to Maddie’s tap abilities and the music and costume (and weave) kind of made it a mess, but Maddie did well with the monstrosity of a solo she had to work with 😂 And I loved I like the 60’s! Nia nailed that. Just my opinion though - love your video and editing!

It’s not Nia’s fault. I’m the beginning of the show, she just wasn’t on the same level of the likes of Brooke, Chloe, & Maddie. And I’m later seasons, Abby just gave her really bad choreography that even the best dancers couldn’t really do much to help. It’s not Nia’s fault, it’s Abby’s.

ok, I gotta disagree with like everything in this vid T-T. Regarding NIa, she wasn't the best, nor had the best technique in the earlier seasons, but in the later seasons, (i think) she was amazing. I think it would be helpful to be more specific, regarding what the criticisms are based on. Like is this choreography, emotion, technique, etc. If it was overall, imo, none of nia's dances should be in the worst solos for season 4 onwards. Also, I would love to know why you placed the solos in their positions :) It was probably too many solos, but for some of the controversial ones, I would love to see the reasoning behind it.

Her lack of technique is what really hurt her in competitions, she needed a few more years to strictly work on her technique before competing, had she took the time to really fix her technique before competing she would’ve been one of the best dancers.

i don’t really agree with nia being in this video around 10+ times. yes her technique wasn’t the best (s. 1-3), but she used her face more than any other dancer on the team (besides maddie). putting “you do” over “doubletake” (a forgotten solo) is just wrong. kendall and nia deserve a lot more. no hate :) edit: although nias technique was bad (earlier seasons)l doesn’t mean that the dance was bad. entertainment value, facial expressions, control/balance, costuming, and musicality can play into the judging as well. 💜

Maddie wasn’t the only one that used her face, Chloe also did a amazing job with her emotion. Yes, Nia does have okay facials but her technique, especially in the earlier seasons were so bad to the point where the entire dance just looked extremely sloppy,.

@@LinaYu988 Theres more to a dance besides technique. Entertainment value, facial expressions, and control also play a big part in the performance. Chloe did not use her face more than Nia ever. They were especially inconsistent in the middle of turns or towards the end of dances. No hate.

@@BodaciousALDC Yes, I do agree with u saying that Nia has great facial expressions. I prefer Chloe's facials because they are more natural and genuine, not overly dramatic. I can totally understand why people say Chloe's facials are hit or miss, but she has at least 1 solo from every style where she killed it. Musical Theater: Baby Mine, I wanna be a Rockette, and born to sing. Lyrical: Silence, Lucky Star Contemporary: Seeing Red. These are just some examples. Nia was always the underdog and she was constantly misrepresented on the show. However, when you compare Chloe and Nia's technique, it's pretty obvious who has better technique. I try not to compare dancers because they are all amazing but since we are here, I'll just say it. No hate. I think Nia improved the most throughout the show, and her technique towards the later seasons was near flawless.

It’s not a fault with Nia herself, Nia was a pretty good dancer, especially in the later seasons, but Abby normally gave her awkward stereotypical, poorly choreographed solos. She wasn’t given too many good solo choreographies - she deserved better.

The only ones I thought wasn't that bad was mission possible and tainted rose. Nia and Kendall got some really subpar choreography and sometimes they seemed to lack energy. It almost looks like they dance heavier or something. They also had their bright shining moments so no hate. They are two of my favorites
