Car theft and house break ins and car jacking are off the charts now in some areas such as South East Denver around Monaco and Evans. Ever since the dope shops opened its become LA Junior. Homelessness is increasing dramatically.

We’re definitely a growing city but our crime rates are still super low compared to most major cities. Things are always changing and growing here so we just have to do our best to keep Colorado culture!

I’ve noticed car jacking has been a huge problem. Just in the past few months I’ve seen stories of dogs getting taken in cars that have been jacked and even a baby :( but I don’t think this is a Denver thing. I think times are rough and people are acting up. Also having your car jacked is preventable. So I’m extra careful.

Man, I really feel that competition with the housing you mentioned as number one. My roommate and I are trying to move down from Wyoming and we are having a bit of trouble trying to find jobs and a good place in Westminster. Especially nowadays.

So, about the public transportation issue...I am an RTD bus driver. People coming from other states always tell me that in comparison, Denver's public trans system is wonderful. That being said, what has happened is it hasn't been able to expand with the explosive growth that's happening here. RTD are pulling their hair out trying to serve all the developments that keep popping up. Within the city however, I think it's pretty well covered.

Yes, I just moved here into my new house from Austin, TX & trust me...the mass transit is far superior to Austin's, which is horrible. I find the traffic here is so much better than there as well. There are better highways & roads. Very happy so far.

I absolutely love your videos! Definitely planning on moving to Denver within the next year. I have a question about my car tho. I recently got a new car and I believe it is front wheel drive (I live in Florida’s right now) would that sufficient enough if I bought snow tires?

Overall, you'll be good. Plenty of people in Colorado only have a 2 wheel drive vehicle. Snow tires in the winter will help!

Cool man! Definitely go hiking around red rocks amphitheater, garden of the gods in Colorado Springs is great too. Go shopping in Cherry Creek north. That’s a great spot for a nice dinner date as well. Estes Park is a great place to spend a day too.

It's still a lot cheaper than a lot of other places, but just something to be aware of. You're spot on with the vibes here. Denver is a great place with a lot of cool people!

Newly subscribed. I plan to move from Houston next year or early 2022. I visit twice a year and just absolutely love it out there. As a young professional, Denver has a lot of amazing benefits; the people are friendly, I can spend all day outdoors, and I can enjoy bud and beer after a long day on the job. Thank you so much for the video. I have been doing A LOT OF RESEARCH about Colorado because I am considering moving there. I know about East Colfax Avenue it kinda reminds me of this place we have here in Atlanta called "Fulton Industrial Blvd" in terms of crime,violence,prostitution etc. But anyways I have been to Colorado twice. It was nice as hell! ! It rains so phucking much here in Georgia and its so damn humid. Its absolutely ridiculous here and I just really want a change of scenery. Not only that but I ENJOY NATURE! I went to the Rocky Mountains for my birthday last year and I literally enjoyed the entire trip from being on the tour bus to all the up to the Alpine Visitor Center. It was so BEAUTIFUL. The 1 thing I am curious about is the snow. Atlanta had "Snowmageddon" back in 2014 & the snow shut the city thee phuck down. Ppl were stuck on the highway & it was just dangerous as hell to be driving. (Sorry if i sound country lol) Your videos are giving me a lot of insight and I am looking to relocate out there within a year or whenever I find a decent job out there. I'm going to miss the hell out of my family. I'd actually like to fly out there during the winter just to see if I can deal with it. But I doubt thats going to happen because we are still in summer & winter is several months away. I may be out there before then. Again THANK YOU for theses videos. I have subscribed.

I love everything about this comment! The winters here are actually super easy. No doubt I'm a little biased, but the snow rarely stays on the road more than a day. Even on bad snow days, it's not uncommon to see people wearing shorts because they know if will be sunny by the afternoon. Once in a while, we will have a "snowmageddon" ourselves. At worst, I've seen things shut down for 2-3 days but that's a very rare occurrence. When you come out to visit, you gotta hit us up! We love meeting people from KZbin and we can take you to lunch and show you around a bit.

Hey guys - I'm in the greater Boston area and I've really been looking at Denver for the past year, and so your videos are a really good resource! I will say, though, that winter tires are just as important as AWD/4WD, if not more so. I'm confident I'll be fine in a 2WD vehicle on some Blizzaks!

Denver's growing for sure. We do have a lot of people here from other states and it doesn't look like it's stopping anytime soon! And I totally agree with you on working for yourself. A minimum wage job in Denver won't get you very far with the cost of living. Always better to find a way to make it for yourself!
