Tom I’m the guy you made a video about a couple years back. The one about being heavy and asking for advice. I was over 400lbs. I love my juiced bike. And I’m happy to say just by diet and some exercise I’m down to 215lbs loving life. Hope all is well for you and family.

When I'm ready to go down this rabbit hole, you're the first person I'm calling. I'm thinking about a QuiteKat type e bike for getting to and from my bow hunting stands, but also exploring the woods around my property in northern MI. I get what you're saying about the battery concerns. That is a critical consideration for me as well. I'd like the option to bring a spare battery, and/or a solar charging possibility for multiple overnight camping in-da-woods. I'm not there yet Tommy, but you da man when I am!

Oh yeah, Zak. I follow QuietKat and love their bikes. I've come close to pulling that trigger but they are built more for guys like you in the woods. They have a great veteran discount and sometimes they increase that during a sale. They also have solar panels just like you mentioned. Their new Ranger model is 2WD. They make a quality bike which is nice because you don't want components going down while your off the grid and far out there. You da real man!!

I had those style fenders on my ebike, I could never get them aligned properly. I finally ditched them and added Portland Design Works Mud Shovel Fat to the rear and a Blackburn MTB Barrier Fat Mud guard to the front oddly enough the topographic pattern is used by both companies and they compliment each other very well. Notes on the Blackburn MTB Barrier mud guard, it comes with velcro attachments. I swapped these out for some heavy duty Cable ties, the biggest ones Walmart sells. These fenders are light. They look flimsy, but they've held up very well. They work so well that I haven't had to think about them. They just do what they are supposed to do. I originally purchased the Portland Design Works Front Mud Shovel. This performs well, too. But, it Mounts to the down tube. It is not in the way for peddling. The down tube is prime real estate on my ebike, and I needed it for other things. This style fender may not work with your ebike they way it Mounts.

Good advice, Landon. Thank you for the comment. I just cut my stock fenders down this week. Just enough to still be effective but not look so big. I think it came out pretty nice. Haven't hit a puddle with them yet though. I like your co-pilot set up. :-)

Nice 5 year review....thanks for that along with the videos you have put out on KZbin. I just removed my rear tire to fix a flat with a new tube and some puncture protection (Backcountry tire liners). I'm having problems getting the rear tire back in the frame. The bike is suspended in the air with a pipe through the stock back rack, so all weight hanging by the rack. I can't seem to fit the tire and wheel back into the frame. I took the rear brake caliper off and that did not fix the accessibility issue. It appears I need to remove the stock fenders that use the same mounting screws of the back rack to the frame....which is holding all the weight up. Do you have any advice for getting my rear wheel/tire back into the frame? I have a 2020 RCS.

Sorry, Tim. I don't have any solid advice for you. I turn my bike upside down to work on it, sort of like we did with our bikes back in the day. I just rotate the display and mirros out of the way so they don't get damaged. Let me know how you come out, please. -Tom

I have 5400 miles on my rip current s step through so far I really like the bike changed tires to HEB Allscape much better quality tires. I bought another smaller 20x4 e bike with more power and ride both.leave the fenders on or the sand will kick up from the gravel trails in Florida and rain can happen at any time

A motion detector senses motion by sight. This does not see you. It is therefore an alarm that detects vibration. Two different things as another person mentioned before.

Juiced is not getting too much love on YT lately, I guess they don't need to promote as much as others do.

Hi Pedro. I think most of the E-Bike companies are slowing way down in terms of new bikes. I also noticed that JB has been pumping the brakes on what they put out. They were on fire this time last year and now they are selling existing stock it seems. I'm glad they slowed down. I'd rather see them come out with something great every once in a while instead of something average every few months.

@@evolutionaryTom i like the cross current model, it's very nice but costs less. I am so disappointed in my bike, I went out on a longer ride to the edge of the everglades and ran out of battery 2 miles too soon and also got a flat riding over some dirt, gravel road. It is only good for short little neighborhood rides.

@@pedrofernandez8729 I'm going on 5000+ miles/6 years on my CC (old 650w model). I'm only 160 lbs. I haven't had to replace a spoke, just tighten a couple every 1000 miles or so. Other than the spokes and a cracked fender, nothing has broken Since I installed Tannus Armor liners, no flats. I estimate about 4000 mile life on the Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires. (I replaced the original "bargain" tires at 1000 miles.) My riding is mixed: paved paths and off-road trails.
