I respect that Steve is honest that alcohol was becoming a problem for him and so he decided to stop. Unfortunately a very large % of veterans and LEO develop addiction issues, esp with alcohol. And Steve was both a cop and marine. Him being open and honest about the realization of how bad the alcohol got is admirable. Too many suffer silently. Embarrassed and feeling guilty and afraid of judgement. So I think Steve talking more about it could help another man in his situation.

I have a 17 year old son with 5 daughters older than him.With the oldest being 19 when he was born. And my youngest daughter being 7 years older than my son and she is 8 years younger than my oldest child. By the time my son was 2 he already had a nephew and a niece. Nothing was insane about my spacing them out. I was married my husband was killed by a drunk driver. Later on I had more kids with someone else. Sometimes life just works out like that.
