I've been playing for years. 5k+ games played. I can make shots perfectly when i'm practicing but when I get in an actual game, VRML or pub, its like im a level 1 all over again. I throw completely different because I actually want to make the shot so I don't let my team down. Where as in practice I don't care if it goes in or not. Any advice on how to overcome this? And yes I've tried to pretend im just practicing when Im in game and that doesn't work.

Yeah I don't think you're alone in this. There's probably 3 different points it could be related to. 1. Practice is often slower than comp play. Shooting comes down to finding the right release point and a perfect throw speed that has power but not so fast that it loses tracking. I know I had a similar issue between that diamond/master transition where the play speed was so much faster that ripping the disc was all I had time for. Meant I was either shanking or losing tracking on a lot of my throws. 2. Getting used to competition. Playing up in a higher skill bracket can often bring in a lot of nerves that you just need to get used to. I used to fear interviews a lot, but the more I did them and put myself outside my comfort zone, the less I think about it. Similarly, it gets easier to deal with pressure after you've dealt with it on a larger scale. 3. You might research mental blocks in athletics and how others overcome them. Echo is really unique, but also very similar to what other athletes have gone through. Could just be something in the back of your mind that's hesitating on release just enough. Overthinking shots happens to everyone, I missed an open 3 from 10m out in a match tonight lol just try to find a balance of picking a small target in the goal and letting your muscle memory do the rest. Apologies for the novel. I like this question though and may address it in a video in the future. Hope it helps!

@@Ludicrious_Tomfoolery ya I've tried to tell myself that. Its just so hard to convince my brain that I don't care or that it doesn't matter When I actually do care and it does matter. My brain knows the truth so it calls bullshit on my lie and makes me try really hard to make the shot which inevitably screws up the shot. Then my whole team is bummed out and upset. That why I quit VRML. I couldn't stand my whole team being so negative all the time. I love Echo and I want to keep enjoying it. But playing on such a negative team made me hate playing the game. Bro, how? I've been playing for years and I'm on quest 1. I've never been able to get the perfect accuracy like this. No matter what I try, it just always pulls away from where I want it to go. It also doesn't help that my controller is busted. It tracks fine for a little bit but stops every now and then. How are you so accurate? I'd pay money for this

Been playing on CV1 for yearssss, I know what you mean on Quest though. I struggle with it pulling all my shots down and left. Downside is CV1 is limited and makes you slow with the cable. The day Meta puts out a headset with both accuracy and good mobility is when Echo will really take off.
