CallMeSnowwy except then you are using “fight math” which is completely irrelevant. Fighters can be better when they are. Fight math is like saying Sugar Ray Leonard is not better than Duran since Duran beat him, or the likes of that. That just doesn’t work at all. Or like say, (and I don’t know if you watch MMA or not), that Justin Gaethje is automatically weaker than Nate Diaz because Gaethje lost to Dustin who lost to McGregor who lost to Nate Diaz. Just doesn’t work.

I struggle to come up with my favorite Floyd performance. Was it against Mosley, where he was actually hurt and wobbled by a punch for maybe the first time as a pro, but then came back and wiped Shane off the map and basically ended his career as a top fighter? Was it against Zab Judah, where for maybe the first time he fought a southpaw who had all the tools Floyd had physically (but not mentally, which was Zab's eventual downfall) but Floyd broke him down so badly that Zab had to egregiously foul him and basically start a mini-riot? Was it against Gatti, where Floyd basically fought the perfect offensive fight and just annihilated my favorite fighter? Was it against Hatton, where he fought a fellow undefeated lb 4 lb stalwart who he weathered the storm and KO'd with brilliant counter punching and setting traps? Was it against Cotto, where he basically respected Cotto so much (and was confident Cotto couldn't hurt him) that he actually fought in a fan-friendly style for the only time in his later career and still won a hellacious scrap? Nah, probably his performance against Corrales, where he so utterly dominated a world class DESTROYER that he forced Harold Merchant to run out of words to describe how brilliant his performance was. That Floyd beats any 130 lb EVER, including ALL the greats. I'm not sure how Floyd in any of his iterations does against Duran/Leonard/etc in their primes, but the Floyd who fought Corrales is the greatest 130 lb fighter of ALL TIME.

Cheating and being a clown take away the respect of the real legends of boxing, and yes: 99% of those legends: Tyson, Ali etc... came from nothing and were well over average hard working 💪😌 and both had to deal with a problematic family (Tyson family practically made him a drug addict by 13) and Ali had to heavily fight against racism many other obstacles but in the end they got respect, arguably as: the greatest boxers of their times... and that is definitely something money can't buy. 💪😌👌

Great documentary. It's interesting that Floyd Jr. could not tolerate his dad consistently talking disrespectful to him, but he was also the one who blatantly insulted a young Errol Spence after a round of sparring by saying "you alright for a b-tch", and then Spence was understandably offended and went to work on Floyd in the next round of sparring and earned his respect. It seems Floyd may have had some of his father's tendency for verbal abuse, but it seems he has matured a lot in recent years as a mentor to others, so props to him.

Edit: By feel better about I mean really say earned/deserves it more. Not taking anything from mayweather, still great, but I mean it's no secret he picked "easier" opponents at times and whatever. I dunno, arguable maybe, just my opinion that I liked it better when marciano had the record.

@@shanedaviau5976 Marciano fought all the top competition of his time. Now, admittedly the heavyweight division was a little weak at the time, and most of the legendary names on his resume were older and past their prime, but the point is he sought out and fought the top competition. Mayweather is known for fighting big names past their prime too. They both faced opponents that were questionable as far as being fairly matched. I'm not saying Marciano is the best ever, or that Mayweather hasn't earned his success. I can't remember who said this, or exactly how it goes word for word, but someone said, "Show me an undefeated fighter and I'll show you a fighter who hasn't been tested." I feel like Marciano was tested more than Mayweather. Marciano was knocked down and came back to win. I know Mayweather was too, but I feel like it means just a little more when a heavy punching heavyweight puts you down early. Not to mention 43 of Rocky's 49 wins were by KO. Can't forget that Mayweather had a a couple fights that many think he actually lost, even his dad and Uncle didn't sound too confident he won one fight (can't remember off the top of my head who it was, damn). I dunno, it could be argued for days. Mayweather is one of the greatest of all time, no doubt. The thing that bothers me though is #50. It was all for the massive payday and the undefeated record. I mean his opponent was 0-0 in boxing, it should have been an exhibition like most cross-discipline match ups have been. Just doesn't seem right to me. But, to each their own. I don't lose sleep over it or anything.
