The US has contributed significantly to this rise in opposition to its dollar as the sole reserve currency by virtue of its unilateral and rigid policies against opposing countries. If the US didn't sanction Russia by banning them from trading in dollars and also by using the Swift transfer system, chances are that Russia and to a lesser extent China would most likely have delayed their intention to pursue other alternatives; but having denied Russia that luxury and not to forget the friction engendered with China by their policies towards Taiwan, these two countries had little other choice; so any collapse in the dollar in years to come will definitely be the fault of the US authorities themselves. They will have only themselves to blame.

The price of gold since 1971 went up 39 times, while the average salary went up 9 times, the average price of real estate went up 16 times (one must deduct from that 16 times all the school and real estate taxes they have paid, interest on the mortgage, plus the upkeep expenses, therefore 16 times might be way overestimated). It appears that gold did the best while average salary did terrible. In conclusion, it appears it would be prudent to have savings in gold therefore.

I’ve been listening to John for well over a year now and I have yet to listen to anyone that has superior knowledge of the history of finance and can communicate that so effectively. In the Weimer Republic it took a wheelbarrow of money to buy a loaf of bread, when you covert German marks to Dollars would the wheelbarrow have contained $50,000? under a gold standard, a country can't print more currency unless they go out and dig up or otherwise procure more physical gold. this prevents a country from having huge budget deficits and a huge national debt, which is why nixon taking the usa off its gold standard in 1971 was such a tragedy. prez kennedy was a hard money guy, he wanted our currency to be backed by silver, which is one of the main reasons he was assassinated (the deep state does not like being unable to spend limitless amounts of currency).

Creating a new system or cbdc or gold backed or Bretton Woods 2/3/4 doesn't really matter imho. They work, then they fail. But because gold is physical and will always have value, you should accumulate. 10oz to buy a new car, or a farm. It's just barter. Like swapping a cow for 50 chickens, or a packaging company for a house. Deals deals deals. And gold has useful qualities in such transactions.

Before the FED note there was barely any inflation, because the U.S. note was back by substance(i.e., Gold, Silver), not debt contracts(look at $1 bill) ...inflation is tax... so far we've been taxed 50-100% since 2020. For example, a round trip flight from Chicago to Dallas went front $150 to $300.. in some cases more

the $1 dollar bill went from being a Silver Certificate to being a Federal Reserve Note. a Note is a unit of debt, so now our currency is backed only by debt, so it's lost 97% of its purchasing power since 1913.

The key is resolution of BRICK policy and the new standard which includes gold, the demise of the dollar from fiduciary neglect, the new gold exchange in Russia. Oil trade in the dollar is key and Saudi Arabia's stance toward China will signal the change. This change will take time, but I see NO REASON NOT TO BUY GOLD NOW or load up on bullion if one has 3 years to wait; it could happen sooner. Matthew Piepenburg is right on.

Very good analysis on the topic, theoretically $50K for an ounce of gold maybe possible in order to balance out the monetary system but in reality i dont think it’s going to happen not for a very long long time. Though $2500 an ounce is feasible say in a year from from i guess. Cheers
