50 2273 (50 1973) fährt in einen neuen Frühling auf der Strohgäubahn mit dem Feurigen Elias

Ostermontag, 1. April 2024: Der erste Fahrtag des Feurigen Elias der GES Stuttgart stand ganz im Zeichen der ersten Fahrt der 50 2273, vormals 50 3539, an diesem Fahrtag aber als "50 1973" beschildert. Kein Aprilscherz, einfach ein kleines Zeichen für einen der Aktiven.
50 2273 war lange Zeit als DR-Rekolok 50 3539 und als "Käthchen von Heilbronn" bekannt und nun seit mehreren Jahren bei den Unterländer Eisenbahnfreunden zuerst in Heilbronn, dann in Weissach in der Werkstatt der GES Stuttgart in Aufarbeitung. Ein Sponsor machte den optischen Umbau von DR-Rekolok in Bundesbahn-Lok möglich. So wird quasi der hervoragende Rekokessel mit dem gefälligen Bundesbahn-Look zusammengebracht. Zunächst soll die Lok für die GES im Strohgäubahn und auf der Tälesbahn fahren.
