Hi Max I had heard most of these words before when I worked as a waiter in a restaurant during my time in Australia. Unfortunately mostly the negative ones. It was a crazy time and a strange place. And by the way: I think the blue hair fits better than the pink hair by the way. Many kind regards Thomas

@@EnglishwithMax While we're talking about food, there's a joke for German English teachers: A German student asks the teacher what an English word means: Brathering. The teacher ponders, thinks and doesn't come up with it and doesn't notice that he's being made fun of. I think 1:0 for the student.
@EnglishwithMax2 ай бұрын
@@ThomasMarkkleeberg I don’t get it 😅🙈. But I’m assuming it has something to do with “braten”??

Thank you. I guess, I know only about15-20% of your selection. Although some of the words are familiar to me by their other side (like stringy (for hair)). I want to cry. When I am finally done with my A2 (formally), these your words will be the first in my new anki deck.

It's great if you know that many as these are quite advanced. And it's also impressive that you know "stringy" can be used to describe hair! Thank you for watching!

Like the blue. The look reminds me of a forgettable UK sci-fi TV show from the early 70’s called UFO. You’d fit in with the girls on the moon base. And you used a favourite word from my childhood - moreish. My mum and my aunt (who had a very RP accent for a Scotswoman) used it regularly for the cakes they baked and my brother and I got to eat 😊
@EnglishwithMax2 ай бұрын
Thanks! Haha true - the look is rather 1970s sci-fi :D. To be honest, it's a word that I tend to associate with my mum and an aunt as well! Sadly I don't hear it too much these days.
