Fact #47 is called the Glass Window Bridge and is located on the island of Eleuthera in the Bahamas. It is the smallest part of the island at only 30 feet or so across. The reason for it being called the Glass Window Bridge was because of ships (in the days of Columbus) sailing by and looking through it to the other side to see if the weather was clear (like looking through a glass window). I'm pretty sure only women have stripes, cause it's down to the difference in the x and y chromosomes. EDITED AGAIN DUE TO ME BEING AN IDIOT!: Yeah, I just double checked my info and it's definitely just women. Basically, because x/y chromosomes are different, they can both 'run' in the body simultaneously, and everything's fine. But when you have two x chromosomes, one needs deactivating for things to work properly. Your body doesn't just choose which parent's chromosome to deactivate, though, so sometimes the mothers' x is deactivated, sometimes it's the fathers'. This leads to a random 'striping', the different 'colours' being the difference between the chromosomes chosen to be deactivated. It's still cool though!
