Hollow Knight? That isn't pixel art! But I do like the hand drawn art and the world building and game play are awesome! Catmaze is pretty good! Different familiars act as your metroidvania style upgrades, and each familiar can also gain upgrades for more combat/exploration options!

Death's Gambit came pretty close to perfection to me and Blasphemous is another perfect game to me although Salt just checked every single box for me. I really wanna know what ska studios is working on. I doubt it will happen but a Salt 2 is the game I want more than anything and Bloodborne 2. I doubt either will happen but if they did, id be complete.

Catmaze seems to have a lot of disjointed art, its not cohesive and looks weird. Funnily enough, after watching again, I can't help but notice some of the assets/artwork look straight up the same and very similar from other pixel artists I know. Like they were grabbed and then frankentsteined together. I wonder if that's whats going on.

For the record, as an artist myself I don't condemn the practice like others would as long as its a bit tranformative. I do think the way the game's assets look and are handled is not very cohesive though*. At least when you compare it to other games in this list.
