I'm surprised Moonlighter didn't make the cut! I found the pixel art way above average in that one.
@ClemmyGames6 жыл бұрын
Made my Top 10 games of the year though! I really liked Moonlighter but something about the pixel art. Don't get me wrong, it's good, but i think it may be the lack of solid outlines of the characters that doesn't make it "pop" so to speak

the only way i would buy a game with the descriptions "Rogue Like" and "Procedurally Generated" it's if the word "Not" comes before then
@ClemmyGames5 жыл бұрын
The procedural generation does take away certain aspects of game design which can then affect things like pacing and so on.

@TheRealYasri6 жыл бұрын
I wonder how long games will last as they are. Because in the past there was a kind of reset button when any new generation happened. Now days you not only have to compete against new titles but catalogs spanning decades. Not that I think old games should disappear but it much tougher to compete when places like steam have 10000s of games with more then 5000 added a year it seems. The snes had less then 800 us releases during its life. Something is going to break. -------------- If epic wanted to put the screws to valve they would let you link your steam account, and let you active three games they have on their service a month for free and give the dev 10% of the purchase price. This would be free money for dev's from people who not likely repurchase a game. And for customers it would be a incentive to use their service. They would need to limit it to just games you bought on steam before they announced it, or games bought x months before they released on epic's platform.

which is better grapgic or gameplay? as for me graphic < gameplay for example minecraft :D
@ClemmyGames5 жыл бұрын
Game play for sure and Minecraft is the best example of that! However, art does add something to the game in making it appeal to more people.

Two Ideas for your videos , add a news ticker like thing to the bottom of your videos. Take the game info you show at the beginning of each game, and stack that info on the ticker too. The Messenger / Timespinner by Lunar Ray Games \ Unworthy 25 September 2018 - Steam,PS$,Vita - Metroidvania Make the current game text bigger and stand out(Redish background maybe) with the last and next game smaller and a different color.(Blueish Maybe). And the bottom info yellowish. Would match the colors in your channel icon. /cheers
@ClemmyGames6 жыл бұрын
Hmm.... Let me think about it. I find tickers a little bit distracting myself but the info can be helpful....

Wow, really? In Celebration of Violence? I find that game absolutely hideous - it's pretty dang good though. To each their own. Kingdom: Two Crowns, though, almost makes me wanna get it just for its beauty, despite not liking the original Kingdom at *all.* But pretty cherry trees and wabi sabiness and mmmm. I'm not a weeb but I'm a sucker for traditional Japanese art and aesthetics, and things inspired by them.
@ClemmyGames6 жыл бұрын
I thought In Celebration of Violence has its charm :D Kingdom Two Crowns is gorgeous! The side scrolling strategy may not be for everyone but cool art. On top of the Shogun expansion thing, they are also doing other civilizations so that might be cool.
