Hey man! Love your vids. As someone who is only a year or so into fishing, and constantly looking for decent reliable gear, you should make a video of your favorite rods, reels, combos and just your arsenal in general . Definitely some of your different favorites for light/panfishing vs. bass fishing.

Bar soap is supposed to remove your scent. Some fish like catfish rely on scent and will sometimes not eat a bait if it smells like "human". That's why there are some scent attractants to make baits taste good and scent removers to remove our scent. It's awesome that you found that because I learned all this recently.

Both big lots and large dollar general stores have a very sketchy fishing section for your challenge videos. Try a yard sale fishing challenge as well where you have to buy the first rod, reel, and five different artificial baits you see! Would be fun to see what happens! As always I love the videos.

My 9 year old son uses a 50 year old Shakespeare 6'6" medium action rod and 6lb test on his freshwater setup. He caught his 1st bass last month. A 3 pounder, which isn't terrible in South Jersey. We live for light tackle!

Thats a good bass, hope he keep loving fishing

He's hooked! We also fish saltwater since we're in South Jersey, and he wants me to teach him to fly fish. (I've had him reel in little stuff I've already hook on my fly rod.)

On my birthday (June 4th same as yours) I went shopping at Bass Pro Shops and almost everything was sold out, I still got a lot of new gear despite the shortage. Two weeks later I came back and there was so much more! I also picked up that Terminator Shudder lure that you wanted to try, and I really like it so far.

I just thought of something. A lot of KZbinrs do these kind of challenges. Maybe donate some of the cheaper gear to youth groups or something like that. If we can get all of you guys together to do I'm sure it could make a difference. Also you can wright it off. Thanks for making my day better. Also if u end of doing this I would be interested in helping as well and I'm sure more subs would help as well.

In the UK if a product has a lower price ticket on it, that's the price you pay by law. Many large retailers will also refund you the difference of the marked up price, so that rod combo would have cost you $29.99. 😊

I bought one of the slaunchy lures like the flatfish thing he picked up. Its called a kwikfish k14 and its like 5 inches long. I just bought it because it was cheap and im going ocean fishing and thought maybe something salty would eat it, although its for salmon, lake trout, and like up north canada fish. Hope it does good on the lakes where im at too.
