Or you can look at it on a deeper level bruva. It’s very lonely at the top. Meaning it’s extremely hard to grow to a certain level without losing touch with the people u knew prior. Jay Z doesn’t roll with any of the people that he did 30yrs ago, 20yrs ago, or even 10yrs ago. And he’s also had falling outs with many of the people he was once associated with. It’s completely apart of the process of growing. Most people that you were good to roll with while u were on the come up, are not gonna be fit to deal with the evolved version of you. Especially when they don’t come even close to matching your ambition and drive. Highly ambitious people like 50 dont ever blend well with people who are satisfied with the basics. They are like oil and water. Banks was satisfied with having money and being a respected lyricist.

He was quiet even as an older teen, but even when he blew up, he came to the hood wit his chains on n rock wit all of us outside(I was 15). I never seen 50 do that, and even back in 05-06, the streets took 50's pass from coming back and he never came back around til Silverbacks were disappearing. I could understand why Banks wasn't gaining the light like 50, but 50 is forcing him to be outgoing like him. For real bro. Most ppl tend to forget that during that G ubit mixtapes era, 50 might have been the coordinator but Banks being the true lyricist that he is spearheaded that group into 50's superstardom. Everything before G unit was cool but those mixtapes are timeless mainly because of Banks. 50 hates not having attention.

Not negative, it's the truth. He doesn't make any other moves either. Not talking negatively, just telling the truth. 50 never said he's a bad rapper who couldn't make it in the game, it's just that he chose not to put the work to do it and it is hard work, 50 spent more time working with Banks when you never met the man so he's well placed to make this point. At least 50's ALWAYS trying to make more money and do more moves, that's why he's still relevant despite moving away from the music a little, Banks just drops random mixtapes and that's it. Nothing.

Hes comfortable being a big fish in a small pond cause he's still a pretty big fish in New York. Modt new Yorkers over 24 still listen to his music and keep up with it. He's comfortable living on a 6 figure salary which is still richer than most people.

Uglazz thirsty nighaz like 50 can’t relate to being introverted and cocky. If he not loud, a snake and a bully he don’t eat in real life cause really he got no smarts/savoir faire. 50, Jigga and Puff share that same machiavellian motivation. At least Jay smooth with his shyt tho.

@@popdarby7521 Not true if you go by the old school definition. There's a video on it on KZbin where Big Daddy Kane explains what a freestyle originally was. Some folks still go by that meaning even now. Shocked me to find out a lot of freestyles were/are the written type. Doesn't take away from the artistry though. Speaking for myself, I excel more at writing than anything, so I stick to that.

@Orlanzo we probably disagree on the definition of 'rapper'.. I'd say lloyd is a better emcee (best in g unit) and 50 is the better rapper. To me a rapper is a song writer while an emcee is about bars and flows. Lloyd is 5 star mc I'm not underrating him 🙌
