This was also before the streaming era where streams on a hit song will be reflected on album sales also. Everyone can have a hit single but that doesn’t guarantee album sales or even that people will come out and see you on tour. I was a big 50 cent fan so I will always have his back when it comes to Rick Ross. I just wanted to clear up for the younger generation who thinks Drake made Rick Ross. Rick Ross’s bum ass made a name for himself before Drake. Let’s not forget all the DJ khaled singles Rick Ross were on before Drake linked up with Khaled. You make good points but we’re talking two different things. Charting singles aren’t the only way to see if someone is popular. There are rappers all over that don’t have countless #1 singles but go platinum every time and sell out shows. That’s only one indicator.
