He doesn't seem to just speak his mind like most people. He quickly and critically analyzes the question posed to him before commenting and when he does he does it with a confidence and authority you can't buy. His actual empathy for others covers a greater scope of backgrounds and lifestyles than most and his speech never seems forced or coming from a false sense of understanding to gratify his ego. I think he truly wants to get people to think before they speak and to be responsible enough to admit, explain and change the future of past mistakes or trespasses. He opens his mouth and out comes the substance of his heart refined by a well structured mind.

I've recently finished 50's book, Hustle Harder, Hustle Smarter,' and it's been an eye-opener. Beyond his well-known Gemini traits of managing two personas - as 50 Cent the rapper and Curtis Jackson the film director - what really stood out to me is his exceptional intelligence. This high IQ shines through in his writing, adding depth and insight to his work in both music and film. It’s a compelling read that showcases his multifaceted talents and sharp intellect as witness in this interview.

50 is like a urban legend. They will never be another. For me drake doesn’t come close to the impact this guy had. Respected in the industry and hood. Is damn near impossible.

Is it just me or does 50 always say to be completely real! I'm a 49 yr old white who grew up in a hood in Holyoke Massachusetts. As a kid I grew up listening to KSR1, BDP RUN DMC. Also loved Metallica ,Aerosmith AC/DC Andrew old scholl southern rock. Yet 50 ,M Metallica and Canadian backpack rappers are what I have in my playlist. Love 50 and have s honesty. True professional and just a great guy.

50 Cent's reach is generational. I remember watching his debut music video (In Da Club) on Mtv's TRL in my senior class back in 2003 and now my 2 kids know his music word for word and I watch all of the shows he produces. I even play some of his shit when I DJ at my local nightclub. He really is the epitome of grinding. Much respect to Fif!

Same, I remember his first freestyles on Clue mixtapes way before he got signed with Em. Back when his rhymes were more raw and gritty.
@Blizzie85 Жыл бұрын
@@Thomas998822 I knew of him but not a lot before he signed with Shady/Aftermath. The good ol' days before the internet was as big as it is now and cellphones weren't near what they are today. Mtv, XXL Magazine, mixtapes and word of mouth were the only ways to find new/raw music. Living in California, it was harder to find out about NYC artists unless they already had somewhat of a "mainstream" buzz. Back when music was still good. Lol
@Thomas998822 Жыл бұрын
@Blaine Hernandez yeah man memory lane all the way back to Walkmans and getting mixtapes from the tape store. Remember you could go to Tower or whatever and get mainstream singles for $99, $3.99 if it was real hot. All the rap legends (most music really) were in their prime back then. We called em goats and meant it! Now these kids call every lil halfway decent shi, goat status and it don't even mean anything anymore. Most of these rappers now don't even have a classic album you can bump all summer. EVERYTHING is so watered down now, these kids spazz out on the internet over the most basic shi. Do one crossover and they shut the whole gym down😂😂

@@Thomas998822 I remember back when I was like 6 or 7 walking to Tower Records in Sacramento with my older brother and the guy who worked there gave us the tape cassette of 2pacalypse Now for free and we went back home and listened to it for hours on repeat. That's when I 1st fell in love with Hip-hop!

@@jcapo5012 Agree,he's pretty much familiar with how to make a story intricate or complex whether it's in a song or a show.........but in his raps he opts to stick with the age old method of K I S S.......Keep It Simple Stupid.

50 is one of my all-time favorite interviews: very intelligent, super charming and charismatic and beyond respectful. I love how he always addresses interviewers by their names after every couple of sentences/points: “so what had happened, Big …. We were at an event, Jimmy (Kimmel interviews are fun) … that’s a different watch, Stephen (Colbert is one of my faves) “ < just examples, not exact convos obvi lol 😊>. Breath of fresh air 🖤
