In my process of getting 'woke' to white male privilege I noticed the constant pressure women operate under, of being constantly noticed and noted, evaluated and graded, by both sexes. Having to dis-attach attention purposefully to avoid some 'deeper meaning' being insinuated or misunderstood. Of judging and balancing appreciative, complimentary attention with having to be thick skinned at cat calls. And, of course, having to be very aware of time of day (meaning night), location, where not to park and even potential escape routes when walking alone. Not to mention paying more for clothes/dry cleaning and non-equal pay, jeesh! It was a shocking insight at the time, but now I see it's all just taken for granted, as something learned and managed naturally (?like fish swim?), and was told, 'What? Oh. No big deal.', with a withering look, as if I'd intruded if I brought it up.. Anyway, Thanks for doing it with style!

It's damn true, just imagine being in a boy band like BTS, and having millions of girls willing to let you have their way with their bodies to complete their fantasy of sleeping with their favorite singer. Sounds amazing on the service, until you realize their are lots of golddiggers, and stalkers mixed in the crowd who can make your life hell, and most guys aren't prepared for that kind of attention.

@Scott Barnett There was a post I saw a while ago that I saved somewhere. It essentially said that the way society treats men and women in regards to sexualization is so radically different, its almost impossible for each side to truly understand the other. Its like while women are drowning, men are dying of thirst.

He could literally get Whoo Kid to do all that and he pop up from time to time. Idk why someone hasnt brought back that aspect of the culture. How many people rushed home from school to watch RAP CITY??? We dont necessarily need to watch videos...but those interviews and those freestyles?? That needs to come back. They let it get saturated with weak iver hyped talent. Didnt really concentrate on the views and didnt think outside the box. Not trying to take anything away from him, because I agree with you - he's an entertainer and he's damn good at it, but he did mess up a little at the end He said "The Late Show is on CBS. Stephen Colbert. Everybody!" When it should've been "This has been The Late Show on CBS. Stephen Colbert, everybody!" See how that subtle comma makes a difference? Instead of saying it smoothly he was like "Stephen Colbert EVERYBODY!" lol, emphasizing the wrong part of the sentence. That said, yet again, other than that he did a phenomenal job and is very intelligent, capable, and genteel.

There are a few times that their conversation butts heads and overlaps bcuz they both saying things at the same time. 50 folds, AND HE IS THE INTERVIEWER. If I had 50s "Fuck You" money and someone talked over me on stage I would tell them live time, " Calm down, don't talk over me" and make it seem funny yet serious. I'm no one, but if someone tries I have to let them know some how.

Truthiness is from the Colbert Report days if I'm not mistaken. From the Bush presidency era. "Truthiness is the belief or assertion that a particular statement is true based on the intuition or perceptions of some individual or individuals, without regard to evidence, logic, intellectual examination, or facts." So basically, thinking something is true because you feel it to be true rather than it being based on facts.

@@kwstaskwtidis1789 oh yes. Is that feeling that something is true (even when facts tells otherwise). Colbert catched the essence of the beginning of the 21st century politics, and, in some sence, culture in that one word. Look around, does it feels like facts are important? Do people act like they are? Are laws and norms upheld?... Aaaand here I've gone to existential crisis 😅
