2:44 so it isnt that people are always describing things as being "very [adjective]" when using 很，it's just "is [adjective]", at least when 是很 isnt used

3:05 will you please explain why you use 没有 instead of 不? i would say it like this: 我 不在睡觉, as studied in texts. Thanks

First of all, "我不在睡觉" is definitely correct. I know most grammar books would say, 不 is used for the future or present event, while 没/没有 is used to talk about the past. However, in the situation of the video showing, it means: He is not sleeping now. In this case, 他没有在睡觉/他不在睡觉 could be both ok. Hope my answer can help you.

Hi! I was wondering if this videos and Easy Mandarin videos in general are in Simplified or Traditional Chinese? If someone could please help me! I'm learning Simplified chinese and i don't wanna get confused with the characters 😅

Sorry for your confusion, Agustina. Currently we've got two teams making videos for this channel, one in Canton and the other one in Taiwan. The videos made by Cantonese team are in simplified Chinese, while the ones made by Taiwanese team are in traditional Chinese. Two teams work alternately. In May we posted a video from the Cantonese team which is in simplified Chinese, so the next video in June will be made by Taiwanese team and in traditional Chinese. Hope my answer can help you.
