Lesson learnt: 1) bring extra charger esp in cold weather. Cold temp drains battery fast. 2) try having a professional guide if u r trying snow activities for the first time. It's super dangerous to accidentally slide into advanced zone when u r beginner. 3) always good to learn a few useful phrases when in foreign land. We have been taking everything for granted jus cos we know English and get too complacent to understand a new language. Hokkaido isn't a city, less people are proficient in English and Google translate sometimes isn't the best option.

Google translate isn't even accurate most of the time XD Use Deepl translate, it's much more accurate imo. But you're right, learning how to say useful phrases is always good.

I got stuck on the hill once too I just sat down and slid down the entire way and there were a bunch of kids half my age that were trying to teach me but I didn’t understand cause they were speaking japanese
