Fun fact, the first Mistsplitter broke on the lore, thus the name 'Mistplitter Reforged.' Well done, you just made a lore accurate Mistsplitter Reforged!

Very cool. But I think that for a product like a sword, which you always want to swing quickly and sharply, it's necessary to make reinforcing elements to strengthen the structure. The electronics and visual design are simply superb.

it is just a decoration prop or in other words, cosplaying props. You aren't supposed to swing it around like a real sword.
@ex0duzz

You don't put flimsy electronics or make a real sword out of plastic or epoxy resin either, or popsicle sticks.. in other words, it's 100% a display piece only. You'd have to be psycho to use this in any real way, ie hitting or cutting something. Just swinging it hard in the air will snap it already. You can see how slowly and gently he handles it just picking it up, let alone the "swing" in the end where he just basically just turns his body and is not even swinging since the sword obviously can't handle it.

I suggest adding 2x0.2 cm² thick metal rod inside to strengthen the build that way it it less likely to break by itself and act like backbone. Otherwise nice build. Also double check electronic circuits before gluing them permanently and try to seperate the circuit from main build so it's easy to replace them on event of failure or upgrade.

First of all, congralutation on making this piece of art. This is genuinely one of the most impressive craft work I've ever seen! A quick "technical" question though, isn't using popsicle sticks as a base make it more fragile? Since you have to put many tiny piece of wood together rather than cutting a bigger one? Hope you'll do more game/anime swords (or other weapons) in the future! If I may request one, I would LOVE to see one from Arknights' such as Ch'en Sword, Thorns' or Surtr's. Thanks!

I'm not such an expert, but this popsicle wood is also soft enough to make form out of it more easily

Yeah they are display pieces only, not to be used for real fights or sparring or even heavy swings. It will just snap. You can see how slowly and gently he touches and swings it. I would too if I put in dozens of hours of work. probably worked a week or more on this full time..

Not sure if you will see this but I am making a Beacon of the Reed Sea and wanted to know what LEDs you used and maybe the code, I don’t know much about that stuff but it seemed really clean and awesome with no dark spots between lights which is what I want. Also how do you get the resin so cloudy like that? Do you think it would work with a yellow-orange color?
