Hello everyone, it's been a while. For the past two months, I've been busy with this project: crafting an Odachi "Naught" used by Acheron in Honkai:Star Rail. This Odachi is truly long and heavy, but in the end, the result turned out quite well. What do you think? I hope you like my work, and I appreciate all of your support.
@irisshard23367 ай бұрын
The work is as always beautiful to look at. Persoanlly though, I would love to see the sharpness rather than the brite strength. Taking a metal bar in that weight would result in the bricks crumbling in the same way - but seeing the sword cutting through anything is much more satisfying to watch.

My opinion is not so flattering, unfortunately. That is a sword shape, I'd have hoped for a traditional technique, from tamahagane, with folding etc, that oodachi deserves it, this one is just a modern technique sword with that shape.
@ResNullium7 ай бұрын
With a sword that heavy, I wouldn't be surprised why Acheron just slaps her enemies with it sheathed. Thing would hit like a hammer. Awesome job!! Edit: mistakenly added un- to sheathed, my bad. realized 6 frickin months later lmao

What I find amazing is that, by how it looks in the video, the dude took heat treated but NOT TEMPERED blade and proceeded to smash bricks with it. How it didn't shatter is a mystery.
Didn’t he tempered it when he set it inside the oil tank thingy from the oven?
@adrianmartinez15877 ай бұрын
@@Aisenheim that's quenching
@quentagonthornton497 ай бұрын
It probably wasn't part of the video given that tempering is usually putting it in an oven and holding it at a high temperature for a few hours and then allowing it to cool back down very slowly over the course of a few more hours, often 2 or 3 cycles with reduced temperature each time.

As far as an extreme fan of swords and weapons, I'm sharing about one sword I have the stainless steel material with around 58 - 60 HRC, that's the first ever I just cleaned it using water and dried it off using a tissue or clothes, after one week it still shine without a single rust on it and yes it is more durable than a Damascus material
