I'd be careful with investing in ilvl84 cluster jewels. The new t17 maps are ilvl84 areas, and by the looks of it, scarabs apply to it, which means that atlas will apply to it. This makes pure jewel farming setups quite viable in t17 maps.

These are the types of things that I was cautioning against at the beginning when i mentioned that some might be outdated (but nonetheless provide a good enough framework and diversified approach that most poeple should get the gist). One thing you said there I repeated often as a tip for a good league start. This is a key concept of early economics. Learn what to buy early. Think bigger, go for absolutely massive endgame options like triple crit multi life jewel sort of stuff. Yes, triple synth implicit, get that, get that +1 power or frenzy charge ring. Absolutely, your priority is to get that 1 voices now. That awakened enlighten. All those things will have massive short term inflation, so you aren't losing anything buying them now if you have the currency for them. Don't go for cheap shit. For example, I never ever used a tabula I think. I always get a proper 6L and I sell it back for more as I upgrade. Anything I buy I tend to sell back for more as I upgrade. I find a ring for 20c, I'll sell it for a div or two later. On day 1, people sell insane things for 20c. You just craft Elreon on those things and already you can sell them back for 120c right away. But absolutely, have your priority opposite of what everyone is doing. Save until you can get a real item. Do not settle for the first decent 2c ring or amulet. No, you can get one for 20c that is near perfect everything. Don't buy the first 1c jewel, just have a filter with all your best damage mods and you'll be amazed how cheap they can be. You can find jewels worth 40d later for just 20c in the first hours. Just gotta notice them and have the currency to buy. That's always the right order, do not follow all those stupid build guides that keep telling you to stick to garbage gear and buy 1c rares. Nah, aim to make your build as good as possible. Investing early is nice sure, but you can make a lot of profit just investing in your build. Many items you put on will be under 100c and be worth several divines once you get around to selling it back. Just buy the things you wouldn't later on, because they became too expensive now and you need to craft them yourself with a frac base. Like the big crit multi and dot multi jewels.

Very rarely theres people talking too fast, or sometimes the material is so heavy you need to slow down to take it all in. It may have been better to show market graphs from the previous league, as affliction's economy was all busted from the influx of currency and the reduced supply of non-mapping resources as everyone was doing abyss farming, but you do cover those discrepancies a bit so 👍

EDIT: After writing the following I notice another comment said the same thing. But yes I agree with that guy. 86 and 84 bases should have wider availability. --------- One thing to remember is with the introduction of t17 maps, 86 or 84 bases of certain types won't be as valuable generally. So the example that clusters ilvl84 have high value may turn out different once people run deli mirrors in all their t17 maps... and any jewel that drop, including at the end of the mirror, is ilvl84. Just a speculation here. Same for ilvl84+ grasping mail, those should be more widely available. High value rare frac mods like t1 suppress on body should also be more widely available. Anyway, I'm sure the demand for mana efficiency small cluster will be there, but the supply side should grow a lot more. Also, we may have scarabs that multiply the amount of clusters dropped or something. We'll see when we get there. But given the massive change to how the game is played, taking this league as an example of things that may occur next league could be incorrect. I do believe Delirium will be a popular way to juice up t17, along with the usual Beyond for the multiplier. But we'll see.

Also since last league Faceted lenses are back and it is also a viable way to level Awakened Gems to max if it is cheaper than beastcraft, especially the last level is very fast. At the start those were 15-20 chaos per 200mil lens and its it total of 10-11 lenses to reach Awakened Enlighten 4. Also, side profit for lab ranners: buy bricked lvl 5 cheap Awakened gem like Melee Splash and sac it for experience in a lab, it is like 1bil gem xp in a lens, it might be like a divine or two.

I have a question.... how do you determine the correct time to invest and the correct time to sell? because i can buy i dunno.. an expensive unique for 1 div on day 2 right? how can i determine that i need to sell on day 5-7 or on day 12 - 14 to gain max profit on that investiment? Sure, i can make 5 div on day 5 and invest on more things or a more expensive unique, but i can also make 10div on day 12. So thats the tricky part for me (undepricing it early on)

You can search for the stat "Players in Areas take on the form of Harbingers". For the Harvest Beast one, the stat is "Areas contain Einhar" Use the ~ at the start for fuzzy search.

Im not Belton, but he usually argues to get Items that Increase in value over time because of their increased demand/utillity later in the league. The goal is to buy stuff that will increase in price ABOVE the rate of Inflation. Not quite sure about the exact timestamp, since the vid is long but Belton explains the concept indirectly in point 10. when he talks about 1P voices (and why he doesnt like the concept of leaguestarter builds) if i remember correctly.

markets are dynamic bc of ggg nerfs and buffs. also league items/gear/changes in rarity. second point: the vaal aspects to make the adorned ALSO drop from the omnitech in alvas temple. the others are like you said, vaal architect in delve and atziri. with atziri I'm actually not sure if its only uber or regular versions. Just trying to throw some helpful tips in here, not arguing any of your points.

That only applies to standard. These changes apply prior to the launch of leagues where there is a completely fresh economy and everyone starts from 0 with said changes in effect, thus the dynamic element of that market is the players - not the changes, as they are static for the duration of that league.

Regardless of that tho, even if they were live - the changes in of themselves have no effect on the economy, players response to these hypothetical changes does This is best evidenced by reworking of items like , this patch, the ruby, topaz, and sapphire flask - whwre the change is beneficial to some and harmful to others, the market (players) will respond in kind and through their collective economic activity we will be painted a clearer picture on how the changes were interpreted

Hi folks! I am looking to start out in sanctum in this league. Never tried it before, but I heard it's a great way to get some currency going. What are some good builds that can easily start out doing sanctum straight out of act 9? Playing in HC, it has to be able to not get shit on by lycea (and not be purely glass Cannon)😊 Thanks in advance! P.S. If someone has some info on how to progress through sanctum with respect to use of relics and what tiers to run and such, that would also be awesome as well🙂

I go over this in the video. What I specifically play is largely irrelevant but it’s never a stepping stone build- if I want to play TS long term I start TS (or LA in bow case since the gear is the same and LA is / was better at a lower gear threshold) in past leagues I league started as Infinite trigger discharge- which was not only very gear dependent , but also a “bad” skill relative to the meta (which meant its gear was alwyas overlooked and underpriced)- best example in a real sense would be crucible where i league started the above and by the Sunday’s of the opening weekend had 5 mirrors. I also talked about this in video I’m pretty sure

Also that’s not exactly the takeaway you should have from what I said: league starters ARE efficient in a vacuum but i postulate that the long term consequences are at best net neutral , and in most cases are negative. If you are a racer or a streamer or just a hardcore player who maps 12+ hours a day for the first week, you may experience a net positive benefit from a stepping stone / transitory build - since you’ll have “x” amount of time in maps / running relevant content at a marginally higher rate of return than your contemporaries , but the reality is for most people , and especially the target audience of a video like this- is that the mid term/ long term consequences of putting all of your initial capital into rapidly depreciating assets who are being bought at peak demand and their Lowest supply and sold to swap into something else with a better long term prospectus after a week or two , is not benefiting most people as the opportunity cost of that capital being gear invested vs what i propose as an alternative is far greater than the benefit of , let’s say, 20% faster mapping (since that directly correlates your outputs to your inputs, and casual players are defined by their limited capacity for input)

Sorry, yes. Very long. Sunday night I went out for a smoke and forgot my apartment keys , and my property management company when called told me they didn’t have anyone on site until Monday morning. So i was unable to stay at home sunday. Monday morning I woke up early to get my keys and get started on this, and then as I was starting to record my internet went out and I lost the footage and couldn’t get on game. Spent 90 mins on hold to be told it was an area wide service interruption that would be fixed in 30-45 mins by my ISP. 7 hours later it finally did go back online. By the time I started recording I’d been waiting to do so (for the 3rd time) for over 12 hours and had been awake for 44 of the last 48. Partially why I made the webcam black and white was because of the dark bags under my eyes. I was exhausted by the end of it, not just mentally but my voice was giving out which I had to keep drinking to remedy throughout video. Had promised I would drop this video that day tho so did my best to keep to that. Hopefully above (the comment above you left) doesn’t trip anyone up. Apologies for the error
