I know this boss... I had all of the best eternity mode accessories and armor. I also had the penetrator, and had dropped a universal collapse on a fresh world. I couldn't kill its second phase, and I couldn't outrun it at my top speeds. Even using hero's mod to teleport, it traversed the entire large-sized map within seconds. There's no outrunning this thing, in the end.

@@RoastCDuck We don't even know that Echdeath kills you at all. You don't get the death screen, even though you get the death message. It could simply be transforming you into a hardcore ghost, thus completely bypassing anything that tries to stop death. You also can't really stop mods from overriding vanilla code, even if you tried, nor should you try. Relogic should just let the modding community do whatever it wants, as long as it isn't trying to pirate the game or take credit for its code or anything illegal like that.
