Don't Dig Up is my favourite one, it shakes up the game in a way that's very different yet still balanced. And there's something unsettling about the surface being completely dark and evil.

Same. It totally messes with the game in ways that feel fun and fair, and gives the whole thing a cool Post-Apocalyptic vibe. Venturing to the surface for any reason felt like a huge risk, and I felt more compelled than ever to try and stop the spread of evil biomes because they had already taken so much, and I no longer had any way to push them back. I had NPC settlements and pylons not just in all different biomes, but at different elevations, including one research on the ocean surface at the very edge of the map, which was the only spot on the surface far enough away from the corruption that the game would let NPCs live there. The fact that it removes the happiness mechanic really adds to the feeling that we were all putting aside our differences to fight the apocalypse (even if the bastards were still charging me money for their services).

Crimson is recommended for Don't Dig Up, since Corruption's underground altar caves can block your way up.

They need to add a Christmas themed seed, it would always be Christmas in the seed, the entire world is ice biome except the jungle and desert, the world evil stone is replaced by infected ice, there's a warmth mechanic that damages you if you get too cold, underground homes would be made out of candy cane and have presents inside, snow legion could replace the goblin army ( accessible in pre hardmode and made easier, can also spawn naturally and becomes Normal in hardmode), wand of sparking and flower of fire are always the frost versions and they could add so many new cool stuff

Out of all the secret seeds, my favorite one is the Drunk Seed. Reasons: 1. You can 100 % the entire game 2. Despite the detrimental things about the seed (e. g. a Dungeon under the living tree) finding a metric crap ton of loot is awesome because there are more living trees (even mahogany ones), spontaneous structures spawning, etc. 3. You can get the universal pylon! Who needs to create an artificial evil biome when you have this seed.

No Traps is very annoying. If I remember correctly, all the chests are Dead Men’s Chests. Even when you *think* you did everything to defuse them, sometimes they still have enough traps to squash you.

Basically, the Don't dig up seed might be like the Bad ending where we lost against the Evil biome via Crimson/Corruption, the Players, Npcs and animals will live underground, if you want to see the stats for the Dryad, then the evil biome should be 30% or higher
