I have half of the mentioned albums in my CD collection. A great list of melancholic metal, Questy. I agree with almost every group in your pick, only their albums would be different for some. For example Solitude Aeternus debut Into the Depths of Sorrow, or Shades Of... from Shape of Despair seem more essential to me, but maybe that's just my preference.

Would have most of the same bands, but I prefer different albums in many cases. Shape of Despair has to be Angels of Distress and Funeral’s From These Wounds is their best, imho. The glaring omission from the list is Dolorian - When All The Laiughter Has Gone. Might only be available on KZbin these days, but holy fuck... Should only be listened to in the darkest of rooms in the middle of the night.
