1. When I was a kid, my dream was to become a bear carer, to hug bears all day, and to put my head in their mouth because I saw a guy do that on TV one day and thought it was the coolest thing. 2. I cannot live without cheese. I'm French and live in England right now. Even if I like English cheese, I'm expecting a parcel with 3 kg of French cheese from my mum (Reblochon, Morbier, Saint-Nectaire fermier). I also ordered 1,5 kg of gorgonzola online and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I'm going to have a blast when it all arrives. Okay Ida I have a very important question to ask you ! You're saying you don't drink alcohol, but I heard that in Korea it's impolite to refuse if someone older/higher in the hierarchy offers you a drink. I was wondering, did you have any problem with that in Korea ? How do you manage in such situations ? I also don't drink alcohol because I hate it but I'd like to know what's you're experience as a non-drinker in Korea :)

Zoé Clos when I used to work at the bar in itaewon all employees came together and took a shot once or twice during the day but since maybe 3 of us didn't drink (at least they didn't at work) we'd just get alcohol free shots instead, no big deal :) it's the same in my company now, my manager knows I don't drink so he doesn't even offer haha he just asks what I want ^^ both of my work places are very progressive with some of the staff at the bar being openly gay, tattooed, pierced and with dyed hair! I don't know what it's like at a more traditional workplace but I couldn't stand the office culture here anyway so I'll just happily never find out 😅 either way, if you're a foreigner you get a way with a lot more than koreans do and worst case scenario just say you're on medicine so you CAN'T drink haha one white lie won't hurt if someone doesn't respect you and your body (which they should!!) /Ida

it's not very hard haha you take the order and fill up the glass for them ^^ I worked in the draft beer bar and one of the guys in the cocktail bar didn't drink either :) it's a very big place so I think we were like 3 or 4 people in the staff who didn't drink in total (we, the bartenders and waiters, took shots together every day so I could see who took the alcohol free shots with me haha) /Ida

we start learning english when we're around 7 in school, but I think the main thing is that we watch shows in english on tv, listen to songs in english on the radio and we do a lot of research for school using webpages in english. we're surrounded by the language cause we don't dub and we don't have a big entertainment scene of our own (and even swedish singers sing in english so they can market to other countries like zara larsson or swedsish house mafia for example) /Ida

you're not right in this case ^^ we're middle class in Sweden, going to Egypt was our first (and only) trip abroad as a family :) I'm also an only child, and in Sweden the government gives monetary support every month if you have a kid until they turn 18. horseback riding isn't expensive at all in Sweden and it's the 3rd most popular sport in the entire country, everyone does it growing up :) I started working weekends at the stable when I was 12 in exchange for borrowing the school horses to compete and at 14 or 15 I started working as a riding instructor and also took care of the stable during the weekends to make my own money. with that money I paid for more riding classes and for my competitions ^^ did I have a good and supportive family that helped me, absolutely! did I get things handed to me on a silver plate? definitely not :) I paid for my own trip and university in Korea as well with the money I made working at the stable ^^ /Ida
