I'm not sure about the abrasion test but I really appreciate what you did and I do think it has value. Frankly, if I were going to put Tatsu through someplace where my key concern was abrasion then I would probably choose their abrazX I think it's called which is especially made for that environment. To me the value of the tatsu and what would make it worth it is the low memory. I am tired of small loops and tiny backlashes in my baitasters. From what I can see the Tatsu due to the low memory seems to add sensitivity and casting with low diameter line. Low diameter line is the opposite of what you would want in an abrasive environment but for someone who is looking to gain casting accuracy while not having to pull stupid little loops out of his reel, this seems like an expensive but ideal solution. I love fishing and want my time on the water to be enjoyable. If I spend twice as much on line but don't have to spend time pulling out the little loops or deal with the small flair ups in baitcaster then those few bucks are more than worth it to me. Even my Sunline spools up every once in a while with my Curado DC. It's annoying. If this is a solution to that then I'm all in but it is probably like everything else, I will use it in certain situations. For instance this would never be on my flipping or punching rod, but I could see it on my drop shot rod. We'll see as I just ordered some to try.

Would recommend that you test lines by diameter not stated pound test. Companies are known for understating the pound test. 20# test that is stated as 15# will always out perform because its a larger diameter.

You should use a more consistent textured material instead of that metal you used. It has small dents that can cause more abrasion on one line than the other. Also, you made a longer stroke on the opponent brand than on the Tatsu, so it brushed against a larger area instead of a concentrated area. Just food for though for next video.

My understanding is that you can’t do this test outside of water. The reason being fluorocarbon is sensitive to heat but while underwater the water acts as a lubricant increasingly its durability. It would be interesting to see the test underwater. Now mono carbon will actually beat florocarbon outside of water Becca mono handles heat better.

Well you help me decided. Tasu is to high for 200 yrd and way to high for a 1000 yards. Im going to go with the invizx.

😁👍 Good test, I recently used 6lb seaguar invizx on spinning gear and it worked real well and was thinking of trying the Tatsu in 8lb do you think this will be much better than invizx on spinning gear? Thanks

I was considering getting this line but I might just end up getting some more trilene sensation instead, I've had an itch to try flurocarbon as it seems to work well for others but all I've had with it is issues it seems. The main reason is the memory on most which is just unbearable; Especially on the invisx I tried. Invisx was essentially mono in disguise with it not being any more sensitive than my mono and had worse memory.

The issue is if you backlash braid it can be nearly impossible to get out. There are always trade-offs.

Personal I've used Tatsu before and it's not any better then Invizx and Invizx is half the price of Tatsu.
@marcusyoung28706 жыл бұрын
I'm not paying that much for a 200yd spool, especially when a good mono is more abrasion resistant and casts just as good. I could care less about sensitivity and visibility. To each his own though.

Marcus Young oh yeah I agree. I will continue to buy mid level fluorocarbon for now on. I just wanted to see what the hype was about and it’s very nice line but the price is kinda crazy.

I find that fluorocarbon gets dirty fast, kinda defeats its purpose. I've been using the invizx, after using once or twice it loses its clarity.

Awesome review brother but honestly I'm not paying $50 for LINE especially mono lol. Just my honest opinion. We're straight braid anyways lol
