2:34 I watched this video because I wanted to see if you also have the "lens shield" inside the light shield - can't tell here, light now good 3:22 here tho it looks like you don't have the piece that I have, which is like an air assist cone, but hidden above light shield...

What happened with the power charge issue! Hope it didn't fry the laptop !

No issue there, it's more to do with the main power and the stepper drivers.
