hey! if you were curious about how to perform these tricks in your own world - i'd like to give a more clear explanation: the Axiom mod is EASILY the best way to go about doing this, not only because it can disable block updates, but also because of the "Force Place" feature. having both enabled is how i pulled off the majority of tricks in this video. in addition, the "Tinker" feature, which allows you to modify block states by right-clicking with your fist, is also handy, but i found that the Debug Stick was a bit more practical, as it actually tells you which block state you're modifying. if you don't have access to Axiom, you can still use the Debug Stick to access illegal block states, and the /fill command to force blocks to be placed wherever you want, but without update suppression you'll be more limited in what you can do. if you're on Bedrock...sorry, you're out of luck 😅

These builds are really cool, but i have a question. I don't have Axiom, and i can't download it, because for some reason it crashes my game. So the question is, can i turn block updates off, without Axiom?

thank you! :) unfortunately, as far as i know right now, all previous methods of disabling block updates have been patched out of the game. you can still access the Debug Stick if you're on Java, but your options will be a bit more limited. i'd definitely recommend trying to figure out why Axiom isn't working on your client - this video may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p4nWdp6oi6Zpj5o modrinth.com/mod/axiom/
