My brother died unexpectedly, and it was the most traumatizing thing I have ever been through. We lived together so we spent much of our time together. To see someone full of life and then see them in a casket looking artificial. I will never get over it.

Your story sounds just like mine, only I viewed my brother about four days, prior to his cremation. I, too was living with him for the past 17 years. He was doing good at rehab (fractured hip from a fall, with Parkinson's on top). There are some good people and bad people in all organizations and companies. It was the bad people at the rehab and the hospital that killed him. Malpractice and other legal matter lawsuits are forthcoming. I don't think I'll ever get over it. I am heartbroken, devastated, and traumatized. It was unexpected.

I lost my mom 4 months ago and it was so strange I talked to her and then she died in her sleep that night. I will always be thankful that I didn't have to watch her die slowly but I regret not being able to say goodbye. So always let the people who you love know how much you love them because you don't always get that chance to say your final peace.

I lost my dad in February to AML which is a very aggressive leukemia that takes the lives of the young and old. My dad served for 26 years in the military retiring as a major. It’s still so painful. A week before he passed I asked him about his thoughts about hospice and he said “but that means that there is nothing left”. The only time I ever saw my father afraid so when a week later I had to sign the hospice paperwork because he has severe pneumonia and his chemo had to be stopped as that was killing him faster. I told him that I was so sorry but I made sure he knew what was happening. It wasn’t fair to him to sign the paperwork and act as if we were trying to save him as he was well past the point of no return. I was afraid he would be mad and he wasn’t. He smiled and said it was ok. That morning when I signed the paperwork he was at his moist alertness of his admission in weeks but his skin was cold and ashen. I worked in healthcare as a medic and respiratory therapist and I knew death was imminent. I went home about an hour later as I had a doctors appointment down the road. I was called back to the hospital around 3pm for the death watch. He was unresponsive I signed the paperwork for hospice at 10am and he died at 7:44pm the same day. It was that fast. I’ve seen death of all nature’s other than drowning. Probably a few hundred and I wasn’t working during COVID-19 due to health issues. Tell your family you love them. Every day as you don’t know which day will be the last.

Also when we left the hospital the sun was just going down and it was GORGEOUS! Big deep orange ball in the sky coming down and the weather was a perfect temp. I felt at peace with that. He will be getting buried to be back with the earth where we started. We are all products of stars that went supernova that allowed the sun and the planets to form and it had all of the elements needed for life. That gave me some peace after he died. I love you dad!

Well he must have thought it was coming but I didn't catch on. And now I wonder if he knew and he just didn't want me to worry. If he did know and didn't tell me it makes me sad because he must have been so scared. We r both very young and we knew we would never grow old together. But we lived every day to the fullest. They can lie in the grass with me, speak to me, and just have something tangible and uplifting to visit. Plus, I like the thought of being where the sun, rain, and snow can always find me. @Curly Creole💞 No... I left out French to simplify for someone whom isn't black. Just to highlight the fact that although many subcultures of race exist and I may have many of mix; I am BLACK. I actually was complimenting you in my former post. Seeing as your name is "Creole" I will assume you have "African" blood. Which makes you "Black" in my eyes. Had you not been, gaining your information based on research you acquired to write a paper would not make you qualified to have an opinion on my title (Black V.S. African American). This would have upset me if you did not have a heritage of color. However... ... ... You do possess the "color" therefore, your truth is your truth. YOU are African French American, as a Creole person. I am Black.. Yes reducing us to a color to erase the African from our cultures was "cleaver" and I worked. I know NOTHING of my African ancestry, therefore I am black. This is MY truth.

I am not afraid to die. Life is a cycle that you see repeating itself. When you are dying, you begin to let this world go and see peace in the other. You won’t feel it when you die. Your body will begin to shut down the way it’s supposed to. Death is a part of life. I want people to be happy for me. It seems that people who are afraid of dying are those who have never lived.

@@jiveturkey1253 I don't think it sounds silly. They are both our children, and best friends. Confidants and family. I think the only thing that would probably hurt more is losing a child. I carry his ashes and a necklace that I wear now as well as keeping his urn in a very special place with all my other relatives and loved ones. I leave treats and food and water by his urn and I talk to him everyday. In this way, I keep him alive in my everyday. And when I do go to adopt another dog after Christmas just like how I rescued him, it will be done in his memory so that I can give another homeless dog a loving home too ♥️ in this way, death doesn't have to be an end

I’m dying of a rare disease at 34. I have always been the picture of perfect health. Back in January when I had my attack of this disease my surgeon said “good god son you have the best blood work I ever seen and I’ve been doing this 38 years.” I knew I was dying though. I used to do foundation repair which caused me to spend time crawling on my stomach. I started noticing lipomas when I was 24, I went to work for the railroad just to keep off of them. Well in January all the sudden I got weak and dizzy, I drove to my parents and told them I think I’m dying. My wife was staying out of town with her mom going through chemo. I called her and asked if I could come be with her because I was scared and I wanted to lay on her shoulder. She reluctantly said yes… I went over there and told her family what was going on and she told me to leave. She then had all of her stuff removed from our house and said she was leaving me because I had no business telling them I think I’m dying. My wife of 10 years just walks away. Now I spend each day cold and clinging to life and all I wanted was just a little comfort from her and her family who I thought of as my family. You never know people until you truly need them.

There was a study done that showed that even after a corpse has transitioned to the other side the physical body still responds to nurturing emotions. A woman who got a job as a mortician was being trained and the body they worked on was murdered and the woman’s expression of distress was how she was brought to them. The woman’s trainer spoke to the body reassuring that they were going to take care of her and that everything is okay and she’s not alone, after that her expression slowly went from in distress to calm.

I felt what was like a kick to the chest and I woke up. Once I was on my feet to be put on the stretcher, I saw my grandfather who passed away in 2014. I asked him what he was doing here, my coworker heard this and asked who I was talking too. Told her my grandfather, he’s standing behind the counter but he passed away; she said to me that their is no one there. I was like ok I’m seeing dead people, load me up and let’s go to the hospital. Of course there’s all these far more expensive hydrating concoctions out there that are also available & some you can only get online. They all claim it’s about getting hydrated down to the cellular level as it’s said regular water doesn’t do that unless you over drink it & they say all that does is cause the person to urinate all the time & some get sick from ingesting too much water.

Death is a part of a plan. A Plan for a better life. If your living a good life now. Then it maybe hard for you to go there because your stuck on life here. When you die where will you go. Will you torment yourself with the life you have lived here?

When my daughter passed away it was really hard for me & still is it took me 2 years to put a headstone because well my selfishness as it was haveing to admit my Amber was gone! Any way when everyone went to see the headstone i picked I put a horse on 1 side & a pig on the bottom! Everyone freaked out about the pig! I had to explain that she loved pigs! I had while she was ill bought her a huge pig she could sleep with like a body pillow she loved it! To this day i have 1 of her stuffed pigs! My oldest daughter has her movies for my grand kids Babe & a few more! I special ordered them for her to watch! I still don't deal well with looseing my Amber! I never will! 💔💔💔💔💔💔

I’m one of those kids that remembered things there is no way I could have known, and I KNOW for a fact that I wasn’t coached! I was scolded and told that my memories of my past life was the devil trying to trick me. I eventually stopped talking about it because of the shame my Christian family put on me because of it. Eventually after about the age of 8 the memories were gone. All I have left are a few memories from telling my family about them.

It's a trick and Satanic lie if Satan. God has given us ONE life, period. There no "previous" life. You sound mentally disturbed. Notice how the Devil wants you to denounce your CHRISTIAN family, while gladly clinging to FALSE "memories'?!! Rebuke Satan with the Blood of Jesus.

The oldest known tree is a quaking aspen. Fishlake national forest in Utah in USA. It's roughly 80000 years old. There are also several other recorded trees with double or triple the age of the tree you referenced. Cool video though.

Fun video. I wish you had discussed the idea that our minerals never go away but rather go on to “nourish” other life forms thereby continuing our own lives in a sense. I hope it is true.

That is very true, we are all star dust, our bodies are pure meat and food for the earth and insects. Our soul, our brain waves, that's energy, energy can never be destroyed, only reshaped into something new. 10 billion years ago our energy was born when the big bang happened, it tool awhile be here we are

I believe there is even a movement to 'compost' people that have died. This would make more sense than cremation--which uses a lot of energy plus releases a lot of CO2.

I’ve seen so much death working as a medic and respiratory therapist and I didn’t work during COVID-19 because I’m immunocompramised. I’ve seen death as young as a 22 week premie when mom didn’t know she was pregnant as well as a 3 year old who was accidentally run over by his dad. And all the other decades as well. Teens, 20’s, 30’s, and so on. I’ve seen suicides and murders. Horrific accidents taking a life such as a car vs tree and the car exploding into flames and when we removed the body it was all bone and ash except for his torso and his head was shriveled up. A man who had Alzheimer’s who went into the woods one summer shooting himself in the head and he was found 2 weeks later. That was the worst that made me change color to be honest. No one knows when the end will be. Treat every day as it’s the last. I’ve been to homes where someone suddenly dies unexpectedly. One girl was 19 with a very severe form of pneumonia. It’s scary

"ashes don't need to stay on the mantel" as someone who has their daughters ashes in a memorial set up, she's my world and I will continue to have her where I'd like regardless of what people think/ feel about her being placed anywhere in my house. people can place their loved ones ashes where they please & no one should tell them otherwise. I have a necklace and a ring w her ashes too, and if someone told me "ashes don't need to be worn" I'd laugh in their face.

He is casual and shows me there is alot to look forward to. Be nice and help others. My dad was a great mortician one of the very first that would handle AIDS victims. Meant alot to the the families. Hi Jack. He was so funny. So many funeral home stories.
