Great drumming man, but the backing tracks are pretty abysmal.
@ColeDockter6 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the comment Devin! Honestly, it kills me to see so many people not liking the backing tracks! I thought I had these nailed. :) I brought in some friends and they recorded all the DI guitars as close to the original as possible. (Granted, I did bring them in and just throw 50 tracks in their face.) And then, the tone was decided by yours truly using VST's in Cubase. This combined with the time crunch may have lead to some sloppy tracks (and there are some in here I wish I had spent more time on.) My question for you guys that don't like the backing tracks is - why? I was planning a follow up for all of the tracks I missed and don't want to make the same mistake twice. Let me know below what your beef is, be it accuracy, tone, timing, missing lyrics, whatever. I want to improve for you guys. Thank you for your feedback, and I hope you guys come back next week. - Cole
@devinbuchhorn6 жыл бұрын
Wow, didn't expect this to blow up. Just to be clear. I LOVE the video and what you are doing with it. Really a great idea, and better playing. I think my biggest beefs are the missed timings and tone. Not all of these are easy to play, that is clear. For me, it was just taking away from your great playing. The tone is also taking away from the sound. You might try actually recording the guitar with an amp then using stomp box sims to try to achieve the tone you are going for. Kinda disappointing that my top comment is something negative. Sorry about that, I am a firm believer in trying to improve everyday. I guess sometimes it isn't always in the nicest way.
