My personal favourite long-standing quirk is Billy's disappearing scoliosis. A lot of it comes from older killers recycling a lot of Trapper's stock animations, but bizarrely even in Billy's own mori his posture becomes perfectly straight all of a sudden.

Also, if I recall correctly, while breaking a pallet, only pig's animation has an effect of the pallet cracking mid-break. The pallet's texture changes slightly after the first hit of the Pig's leg. Every other killer breaking animation does not feature this thing

I remember during her release there was a bug where generators made a pallet breaking SFX when you hit them. Could be a relic from that patch

Something that I feel like can be included in this video is the fact that hag is considered average height even though she's shorter than the survivors and even the same height as sadako, and sadako is classed as short

i actually kinda like the last two eye bugs. plague not blinking with her lost eye is charming, and pigs death stare makes the rift cosmetic terrifying. Trapper and legions probably should be patched, but I think unblinking eyes fit Freddy and oni.

I haven’t played Clown in a while, but referring to the extra blood, for YEARS his hook sound was very different from every other killer. It was extra squishy-sounding. I don’t know if it ever got fixed.

About the one with oni and bubbas animations being reset, its because the skeleton the cosmetic uses is slightly altered thus resetting the cycle

Fun fact: the skull merchants new weapon (store saw) also doesn’t have animations when hitting an object that isn’t a survivor (her arm just rams through the wall and doesn’t even make a sound)

For awhile, when wearing the Ashy Slashy puppet as Ash, any item you held would jut out to the right. It happened shortly after Twins came out and went unfixed for months. Thankfully, they did fix it eventually.

A weird thing I noticed about Ghostface is that equipping the Devil Face with either the Default or Prestige knife makes it vanish. From when I tested it, it was ONLY the Devil Face that did it, as I switched through my other Rift masks and nothing happened to it.

Claudette's Night Out collection has two tops that both always clip through legs. Always. Coldwind and basement hooks are misaligned for survivors. Survivors may also be misaligned due to animations. Haddie's default shirt has no torso under it Felix's Cats and Dogs shirt glitches through the arm slightly Dwight's Weekend Loungin' collection's legs cosmetics all make shoe sounds instead of bare feet.

Let me be honest about the Yui's top bug. I noticed it and have left that cosmetic equipped on purpose as I really think it looks better to me like that. I am, however, sad I don't have access to the original color variant and even more sad that this accidental variant won't stay in the game.

One bug I feel should be mentioned that personally hurts me is that ever since the Twins released in 2020, Oni, Doctor, Demo, and Myer's first person chase themes have been their Survivor chase themes. Oni especially had a really cool chase theme that fits way better when you play as him, but it just doesn't play anymore. I wish they'd fix that after almost 3 years.

I had that flashlight bug happen to me when I was playing Spirit the other day! I wasted a good half a generator just staring at it and moving around it, trying to figure out what it was. It lost me the game 😂

Do a video on unique interactive stuff the bell tower in silent hill that the huntress can ring, the fire alarms in the doctors map that if all are hit by ranged killers the whole map goes dark, and a camera feed in the skull merchants map if you interact with the sonar a feed will show up that foreshadows the next chapter

I’ll still never understand how tricksters release introduced an animated bloody vein type, then the mid chapter patch gave it to some other killers, but then it just stopped after Artist. What was the point of it if only select killers get an animated bloody vein on their bloody weapon. Yes, we could use motion sickness or the movement of the veins distracting the players as a reason as to why they stopped. But it doesn’t hold out, cause if it was the case, why haven’t they been removed off the killers who currently have them?

8:39 So, about that... It's a very prominent issue in game development when I think about it. Because Unreal Engine (and, presumably, other engines as well, as most of them use relatively similar light calculations methods), a game engine that DbD is made with, cannot draw shadows of objects that are hidden (regardless how). This leads to 5 possible solutions: 1) Disable shadows from first person animations all together. This is what, from my observation, most game developers (even some AAA titles) go with, as it's usually a matter of ticking one checkbox. Downsides: if the game actually use dynamic lighting and shadows, you'll get the impression of playing as a vampire 2) Superfinetune FP animations. Usually can't fully be done and is a balance between trying to make animations look somewhat natural and avoiding clipping. Mileage may vary depending on what kind of movements characters perform. DbD's killers heavily lean either prior to attack or during it, so, pretty complicated stuff 3) Have a world model somewhat behind the camera. Again, heavily leaning animations are going to clip into the camera, which requires either correcting the animations themselves, constraining the creative expression of animators and possibly making them unnatural, or moving model so far behind the camera shadows are inevitably misaligned. And, they're going to be misaligned anyways since FP and world animations have subtle differences that makes them look better from their own perspectives 4) "Hack" into the engine and rewrite light calculations to allow for invisible objects to cast shadows. Despite still suffering from FP and world animations having differences, making changes to engine (and, especially, light calculations) requires massive technical knowledge and knowledge of the insides of engine itself, will very likely cause visual bugs, perhaps negatively impact overall game performance and *will definitely* break compatibility with other, newer engine versions 5) Have it the way DbD currently has it. Speaks for itself As one might see, this bug is a massive complication, each "fix" of it is really context sensitive answer to it. Again, most devs go with the first solution, as it's the easiest. BE didn't go with it from the start which makes me feel this subject is never going to be touched upon, and I reckon it really shouldn't be

One of the maps I was playing in as trickster was broken, the floor was red and led to the abyss that I can throw my knives down. It was an interesting match as all the survs and me stared at the floor and had a great fun as it made all of us bob going up and down as it was like a hole and then flat

One annoying fact abt the game is that it takes 2 hours and 40 minutes to grind 1 player level just to gain 300 Iridecent shards, so that means it'll take 33 hours to grind for 7,200 Iridecent Shards just to buy 1 piece from a cosmetic set

I play the game in spanish and the text in the daily achievements are glitched. There is one that confuses the name of Plague with Blight and tells you to do a Lethal Rush with Plague Also on the flavour text of Left 4 dead cosmetics who quotes the character "Coach" confuses it with a literal coach, in other words a trainer.

There is a bug where at the start of the game if you are lucky you can see the idetectable fog near where you spawned indicating that the killer has insidious or is a stealthy wraith-like killer. (they are like two separate black spots floating)
