I just wanted to inform you that there is a potential issue with your guide. If you have an Intel 12th gen and use the Alder Lake Patch, the version of ReShade that is listed in the guide may not work for you as the game would crash before loading the menu. Apparently, there is an issue with the Patch and ReShade that causes it to crash as Intel 12th gen does not have Dx9 integrated in it, but emulates it. This was fixed in the recent version of ReShade. It took me a while to troubleshoot why my game crashed.

​@@acottonsockSorry for the late reply, but yeah the crash had to do with ReShade listed in the document. I tried a clean install, taking my Sims 3 documents out and letting the game build a new one, and even trying base game only. I have no idea why it was happening with that specific version of ReShade and managed to find a recentish (within a year or so) forum about saying that the patch could be causing an issue. Maybe it has to do with my specific model of Intel Processor (12th gen i7-12650H)? I just purchased this gaming laptop recently, so I have no idea what could be causing this.

It is the recent version on GitHub (5.2.2) that I tried. At the very least the recent version is working fine for me although I do miss the depth of field.

hii! i dont know is this going to help but for people who got interested for the black ui that madi mentioned, was not released. the creator just... vanished. the only black ui avalible for now is Dark as Night created by Spamaccount in mod the sims.

I wouldn't recommend REShade to your people because it's very hard on peoples computers. If you use G shade or recommend G shade, it uses a lot less power from your computer and does the same as reshade. That's why people switch to G shade because it can run on multiple systems and it doesn't clog up your computer.

Unfortunately the eyelash slider download on TSR no longer works. Everytime I try to download it I get a message saying the file is not found. Also for some reason Reshader causes my game to crash so I can't even get to the main screen to do anything with the shadings.

Hey I love the video but I’ve got a question does master controller integration help with smoothness patch and making it compact your clothes because I’ve been having that problem of my CAS being slow bc of smoothness patch not letting me compact my clothes.

Remove the .package files that come with smoothness patch (the ones that go in your documents folder) and the compact form will start to work again.

i installed reshade through this and one of the issues i’ve came across is when SMAA is on, i can’t really read numbers/text on the UI. but without it, everything looks bad. is there anything i can do to fix that? like a different setting?

I know FXAA is another artifical edge smoothing within Reshade. Perhaps that would work better?

act for cas theres a mod that makes the clothes load only to what u r scrolling to and not all of the clothing and that makes it much much faster. no need in master controller

Yep, it’s called Smoothness Patch. However, I prefer compact mode as it’s more fluid and doesn’t cause stuttering when scrolling.

@acottonsock I know on your Halloween video you told me how to keep the smooth patch and have Nrass compact form work but when I look in my package folder and there is just the smooth patch and then the smoothpatch_mastercontroller. There's just so many problems with reshade. It's just better to use G shades and the learning curve to a new program isn't that deep. I highly, highly, highly recommend and urge you to switch. There's so many problems, or viruses, or conflicts with reshade. It's just safer and better for your computer to go to G shade. And I have nothing to gain from telling you this. I just urge you not to use the reshade.
