Thanks for this amazing upload (coming from a huge Agassi fan). Sampras celebrated a record six consecutive seasons (1993-98) as the world No 1. He won at least one major title for eight straight years (1993-2000), and appeared in at least one Wimbledon or US Open final for 12 of the last 13 years of his career. He was victorious in 14 of the 18 Grand Slam finals he appeared in, a big match player of unparalleled stature, and collected major titles 12 years apart (the 1990 and 2002 US Opens), a mark no other man has matched in the open era. While many champions pioneer new ways of playing, or at least go with the flow of their eras, Sampras traveled back in time to find his game. Until he was 13, he played the standard style of his day, swinging with two hands on his backhand and grinding from the baseline. But with a pro career and the slick grass at Wimbledon in mind, Sampras made the difficult decision to switch to a one-hander and transform himself into a net-rusher. If those things were good enough for his hero, Rod Laver, they must be good enough for him. Please upload some more 🥳

Thanks for the comments. Its also interesting how Sampras has influenced loads of players who came after him. Serena and Sharapova's service motion, Del Potro, Dimitrov, Djokovic etc etc. I have more clips planned. What I like about these clips is a mixture of long rallies of 14 plus shots and imrprovisation, defending and attacking.

Thanks. I would like to see the match against Courier in 2006 when he won 6-1 6-3 or something like that. He didn't play for four years, while Courier was still playing lost of exos, and Sampras still beat Courier easily. Must have brought back memories for Courier.
