@ Vincent Leupold yeah, definitely!!! but they are much more expensive (150 $ usually, however just now on their site that price is lowered to 99$ and if you can find them for 100 bucks, dont think a second, just buy them!!! also z523 are quite good but only if you find good price... now z623 are 200W!!! while 523 and 333 are only 40 watts, so it's completely different level... also 623 are thx certified

Let's continue that train of thought. How much money do you spend on the rest of your system? How much money on just the graphics cards and monitors? How long can use that hardware? 3-4 years for the graphics card? I bet a few years from now that 4k HDR monitor will look appealing, 8 years from now maybe an OLED monitor? Now think about how long you can use good speakers and a good soundcard or DAC + amp? All of the sudden it doesn't look like a bad investment compared to the other investements in hardware, does it? ;) I strongly recommend investing in nice headphones, you will like it. Avoid the gamingbrands (Razer, Steelseries, Corsair, Logitech...) for the headphones, choose for a brand which has been making headphones for decades: Sennheiser, Audio-Technica, Beyerdynamics, AKG... or if you are an American (more expensive in Europe and we've got excellent brands too) Grado or Sure.

So having a linear battle station I have no room for the Z506 and all them speakers (although I really wish I did). I just came home with the Z333s ... LOVE THEM! I could've gotten them for $59 online, but opted to get them at my local Fry's for $70. I have zero complaints! Thanks for this video man!

I understand that this video is almost 3 years old right now but many users complain about the buzzing sound when these speakers are turned off but still there is power cord plugged in. Which can be really annoying during night and the only fix is to have ON/off button on your extension power cord or on the socket outlet itself. Thank you for answer.

I just purchased these Z333 Logitech speakers and could not find any info on their SPL ratings. That is a measure of the efficiency of the speaker. 1 watt at 1 meter from the speaker and the measurement is in decibels. The higher the decibels the more efficient the speaker which translates into less watts needed to drive the speaker. Generally, anything above 95 to 100 is very good!

Just a FYI, you may want to consider a sound bar. For instance, I recently picked up an iLive 32" sound bar with blue-tooth and remote from Fry's Electronics for $29. Why a sound bar? Well, first of all, you don't have to deal with the whole right/left speaker issue and the cables. Second, I have mine behind two monitors sitting on the desk. If you want, you can also mount it to a wall. And third, my desk is less cluttered. I hear the sound, but don't have to see the speakers on the right/left sides of the monitors. And finally, for $29 nothing touches it. Again, just a suggestion.

Tech Deals, if you ever start with high end audio then you are screwed. I can tell, you are one of those guys who cares enough about sound that he can't go back once he starts with this expensive hobby. ;) I think that your setup to record the sound is good enough for these speakers. your microphone and soundcard are relatively on a considerably higher level than the speakers. Sure, it might not be perfect (depending on the frequency response characteristic of your microphone) but it should give a fair impression.

i have this speaker and i had to RMA the speaker twice in a year with the same problem, speaker not working and green light on the volume knob dosent light up but if i attack a headphone into the volume knob i can hear from it

Thank you so much for this amazing video of the Logitech z333, I have a very very old speaker from Creative, so old I can no longer remember it's exact model, but it has it's own subs and for more than years it is still working. However, the volume is located at one of the satellites and is now a little grounded. And because of this video I've decided to purchase one tomorrow. Again, thank you so much. I've had the Logitech X-530 since 2011. While I know there are far better set ups out there I would have to say they were an amazing bang for your buck. I haven't felt the need to upgrade them, they really do sound great.

Have you ever tested the Klipsch promedia 2.1 speakers ? I know they list for about $150 but it's easy to find them for under $100 on Amazon or ebay. I've heard really good things about them and thought it would be a nice test to get from your unbiased angle.

I think this was a good review. Improving the sound capabilities of both the board and speakers is a "money ball" method of getting more out of your PC. I think if you stay with Asus 1220 Supreme FX boards, you can get good sound out of built in solution. As to the speakers, I've had the Logitech 5.1 75w speakers since 2004. Mine still sound amazing. The 2.1 you unboxed would be great however for the living room PC. They look solid.

I used it about more than a year and suddenly the right speaker just went mute. I tried to fix it but it's so hard to take the speaker apart. I ended up snapping the cables. So yea, I get what I paid for.

I had creative 2.1 a long time ago and now use it with my TV at native home. Bought in 2003, it still works. Then I bought creative 5.1 in 2009 and that changed my view on playing movies and music. Unfortunately, I sold the device when I moved abroad. In 2017, I bought Logitech Z506 which is still running, but one channel in the back left is not working. Now I'm thinking of buying an AVR and Klipsch speakers. I have Logi Z120 two small speakers connected to my laptop. My recommendation for computer, tv users, buy at least a 5.1 speaker system, they work fantastic.

So I just yesterday, purchased the Z313 and I was blown away for the the result vs what we paid for the 2.1 system. It was really great. No complaints. The fact that the Z333 has the bass enhancing feature is really awesome. That feature is usually on much higher end systems that would cost $50-$100 more than the price point you'd paid for it. As I said, I'm a music producer and sound is more than MANDATORY for me so I can hear what I'm putting out. Also, I love the fact that it's 2.1 with level of quality. I had my eyes on a Klipsh 2.1 100W for proofing so I can adjust bass at optimal levels to meet that balance. I'm using the onboard sound input on my MSI B550 Mortar Motherboard. If I have the Logitech Z313, would you recommend me getting an aftermarket sound card? Would there be any quality sound improvement for the speaker system hardware and on board sound card I'm currently using? What is your current sound system for soundcard and connected external hardware? Currently my system is pretty good. Ryzen 5 with boosted 512gb DDR6 RAM. I output a good bit with the tweaks and overclocking. Any thoughts or advice? I have no Studio sound foam mounted. I'd rather put that money in headphones and hardware/software. My headphones are either Knox or the beauties I have for daily use; Plantronics

Discovered the x230's about 10 years ago and as an audio mixer I was shocked at how good they sounded for the money....They sold so well that they can be found second hand for as little as $15, Ive bought about 5 sets of them over the years for myself and as gifts. I will always keep a few of them around as totally decent all round sound source.

Big big Logitech fan here! My entire desktop (3 computers) is almost exclusively Logitech: Keyboards, mouses (mice?), and of course the speaker systems. I am seriously considering redoing my sound system(s) using a mixer to mix all three computers into one sound system. (As opposed to the three systems currently living on my desk.) I think you have me pretty well sold on the Z-333 setup. I love those satellite speakers, and know exactly where they would fit perfectly. ....Now I just have to find the right mixer. The Z906 looks pretty cool for a small home theater setup. The big advantage of it over the Z506 is the fact that it has optical inputs, that way you can hook up a game console or a bluray player to it. Also, I really like how it doesn't have a massive amplifier like a conventional surround sound setup does. My current surround sound setup is pretty bulky and takes up a lot of precious shelf space in my media center. It's way too big for my small bedroom, i'm honestly contemplating getting the Z906.

My biggest gripe with the z313 is the lack of control over the subwoofer (which IMO is turned up too loud relative to the other speakers). I've had to do software EQ on my sound card to turn that bass down to get a clear sound.

You make a really good point, should have noted that more clearly... Yes, the Z333 has a sub control on the back, the Z313 doesn't. After using both now, the Z333 is totally worth the extra!

I have some old cheap Logitech speakers which were the previous model to the z213 speakers, they have lasted me about 6 years so far and the only issue is the wire is slightly freyed but it's not a big issue because they just sit on my desk

Hey Tech Deals! First Merry Christmas! Second I love your channel! I want to say a week ago I bought the Creative Gigaworks T20 II and while they are great and clear something was missing...(bass). I was going to get a pair of Z313 from your earlier review then decided on the Z333 because of this review. However when I got to Microcenter they had the Z506 refurbished for only $49.99 and after watching your channel for over a year now I knew I could not pass this deal up. I just got home and set them up and WOW they are great! I don't have stands for the rear speakers but I have them off to the side of my desk and I just loaded up GTAV and it was like playing it for the first time again. The Front and center speakers are so clear and the rear even though they are not in an ideal space add so much immersion. Keep up the great work, please never change because as I said I have watched you for over a year and have made many purchases based on your recommendation.

I have the Logitech Z2200 2.1 system. I bought it back in 2004 and they still sound great. 200 watt rms 400 watt peak. Only down side is you WILL buy a sound card as I have never had on-board sound that did justice to this system.

Could you please make a video on headsets? Most reviewers just do the usual stuff, like repeating what's already on the manufacturers websites, judging on looks or even recommending overpriced things that aren't really that great. You on the other side are very objective and practical in the way you see and suggest tech products, that could be extremely helpful for those of us who are in the market for a good headset at reasonable prices. I almost never buy new computer speakers, the secondhand market has too many good deals and you get way more bang for your buck. Two sets I currently own are both Logitech, on my Ryzen gaming build are the Z2300 400w THX 2.1 which I bought in-the-box at a yard sale for $10. The other set is the Z523 that I bought from a pawn shop for $40. Both fantastic sets that would have cost much more new.

Still using my Logitech Z-5500 from 2009, the only issue I had was the backlight of the pod dying, however Logitech sent me a new pod for that and it has been great ever since.

I just bought Logitech z533 speakers. I've got a brand new aux cable. When I connect my phone to the speaker every time I change a song i hear a distorted sound and my notification sound. While music is off I hear those distorted short sounds once in a while. What's up? Thanks

I do agree on adding in an additional sound card to your PC if you want maximum audio quality. I owned multiple PCs in the past with onboard Realtek sound cards and I must say all does not sound anywhere close to the Creative Sound Blaster no matter how well you tweak the equaliser and all.. I paired my 17 year old Creative Audigy 2 ZS with the Logitech Z506 in my 7th generation i5 pc with gaming GPU and all.. Brings surround sound gaming experience to a whole new level

Interesting to see this guy has chosen to do his review on a comparative basis with other speakers in the Logitech lineup mainly on a price basis. For what it is worth Logitech offers another model here in NZ for the same price. It is the Z533 - a 2.1 system - total 120w rms - s/w @ 30w and sats @ 15w x 2. I only mention it because it is an excellent system with features such as the s/w volume control on main control pad rather that stuck round the back of the s/w and, a 3.5 aux input also on the main controller. Also the speaker drivers in the sats use the " Phase-Plug " technology which is significally superior to that used in the sats of the Z333.

Great comment bro, I'm in NZ too and on the hunt for new set-up as my edifiers aren't handling my new laptop and monitor so well. The 623s are still around the $200 mark and not sure if I really need that much bass to warrant the extra money, 533 look like a good compromise for me. Cheers.

I got one myself(Z333) and im amazed,with full bass,full volume both the speaker and the pc and some hardcore music from LP,well they sounds music to my ears...very satisfied.

Hello sir, I have seen the z337 and it got Bluetooth Does it have any other different other than it's Bluetooth connection compared to this z333 ?

Are these good to use with a Sound Blaster Z. Do they sound better than the creative inspire 7.1 speakers from a million years ago?. I no longer use the 7.1 feature and use two speakers, but when plugged into a sound blaster Z, the sound is so muddy no matter how much you play with the equalizer, but when i plug headphones into my sound card, and not necessarily the best headphones in the world, the sound is crisp and clear. I am looking for an affordable set of 2.1 speakers that would show more of the clarity of the sound blaster Z card. Would these suffice?

I have two sets of the Logitech Z333 speakers, they are great and I have no complaints. I do have a question though, the satellite speakers have what appears to be a small speaker close to the top of the speaker box, is that actually a speaker or just looks like one. Buck Burton

For a 55" dolby digital audio Tv connected to a Xbox and Ps5 this Logitech speakers are good enough to feel an upgrade? I want to feel/hear better the bass for FPS and other gamer.

If you want a set that you can easily tell the difference between a Bosendorfer or a Yamaha piano you might need a Klipsh. I have the Z333 but even those don't do that, but they make enough noise for the old lady to tell me to turn it down. She hates the Altec Lansings on the main sytem>> $410 20 years ago and still good and not noisy. That AL has a 110v power cord on the woofer and you need two hands to pick it up. It also fills the house with sound. The other one (logitec) uses a power brick and the whole thing fits on the desk. The AL? well ya might need a desk the size of a aircraft carrier

What an absolute great review. I've got some old Cambridge speakers on my computer and they have a nice sub woofer, but the woof is turning into a rattle. I think I'm gonna grab the 333's and give 'em a go. Your video was created a year ago, but I'm sure the 333's are still a good selling speaker system. Thanks for the review!

The Klipsch Promedia 2.1 is at the high end of what this review addresses at around $120, but they are such a clear leader in that price range that I think they are worth a mention. They used to be even more expensive, and I think they were a good value then. I just bought a pair of the featured Logitech speakers are they are indeed really good, a great value at their price. For TVs with a headphone jack in a small room I think they are an amazing step up from the TV's built in speakers and they are way better than "cheap" soundbars that actually cost two or three times as much as this. I do have one gripe: the tweeter on this is fake. It's not that they don't sound good. They sound fine, very good actually. But why do they have to put a fake circle to make it look like there is a tweeter on these? Obviously it makes it look like it's better, but it's essentially a lie. Everything else about these is nice. Why pretend there's something in there that's not? I wish they hadn't spent the money putting that junk detail on these. Maybe they could have cut the price by $5 without that. Maybe they could just make more money for themselves. Maybe they could actually pay the people who assemble, box or ship these another three yuan per hour? I just don't like fake stuff.
