I have these speakers. There are some good and not so good aspects, about them, like most things. I like having the remote, but I hate two major issues with these speakers. 1. It does very loud tunes on computer start-up and close down. This is very intrusive if others are sleeping in the house. You cannot control the volume of these sounds. The remote does not have an impact on this volume, nor driver updates. As a work around, I just unplug the speakers before turning it off and connect the speakers after start up. This works for me, but it would be difficult if the speakers were placed out of reach. 2. The speakers will actually overrule my computer volume settings (which are aligned to these speakers). So I go to view a video. I purposely turn the volume down on the computer and then click play for the video. And I get a chastising sound effect and the volume bar automatically shoots to a much louder voume before my eyes. So I drag it back and it auto moves it back up, and it becomes a wrestling match. I have to then quickly grab the remote to bring the volume down. This then allows the volume to be reduced. It does this when I play some computer games and videos, but not all of them. So it is confusing. I have never had speakers do these things before. Had I known these issues I probably would have gone with a different model, but, nevertheless, I still like them.

@@johnpen269 Thanks John. I did try that. Just tried it again, but the speakers over ride it. When I do use the speakers, it also forces the volume up, even though I drag it to a softer level. It's okay as I have a workaround. It just means I can't do things automatically. I still like the speakers. This is just one feature I could do without. EDIT: If I turn off Bluetooth before I close down there is no sound. When I turn it back on the notification sound is loud regardless of a muted system. Sigh! Thanks for you help. I am happy to hear any ideas. In the meantime I will use my workaround. Thanks John. I appreciate yout input.

I have these, and I kind of hate them. I don't like needing to replace batteries to have the thing that changes the volume work, and sometimes it needs 10-20 seconds to "wake up" before it starts changing the volume. Sound is fine, but it's really frustrating to deal with at times. I wish they'd just stuck to a regular volume knob.

I don't own it but what shocks me now days is all modern devices with a remote of some kind should by default be setup to be contact charge capable. Almost everyone I know have a contact charger in their home (ironically most are not used to charge their phone, they'd rather use a 10' cable and keep it by the bed) and I always thought things like remotes, mice, and tablets should all be setup to be charged in this fashion. I hate the concept of disposable battery, while I'm not some green extremist I think there are some very logical practical applications they should be used for.

ATTENTION! I can't believe that noone has adressed a HUGE flaw this product has. I went through several reviews before decided to go for this Z407 model. When using USB input, there is about 170ms delay in sound! It makes watching movies, playing games or using these speakers as part of AirPlay2 synced speakers impossible! The sound is just so much behind your system that it can't be used with USB input. 3,5mm input is fine, but I chose this model only because I needed the USB connection. If you don't need USB, the sound is.. okay. I'd give 6/10 for the sound. But if you want to use USB, walk away. Try and google it and you will find many-many people complaining about it.

So yourself a favor and don’t buy Logitech… there are much better cheaper setups. This is geared towards people that will just look at the big 80W of power thinking that means something. Honestly for PC speakers that’s overkill and unnecessary because the mids/highs can’t keep up with that. If you listened in the review he said they weren’t ideal for podcasts which says it all. This is just a money grab because for what they’re charging this thing is built unbelievably cheap. Literally seen $30 2.1 PC speaker systems that had better materials

In regard to bass, if they don't provide any volume control for the subwoofer or it tends to get boomy regardless then the next best option is to move it away from the walls.
@Ober1kenobi2 жыл бұрын
The problem is it’s a downward firing woofer. Depending on the environment surrounding it, it can get quite resonant in the room and the wrong kind of shaky Moving it away from the wall definitely helps, but using something like some thin foam tiles etc underneath the sub will help absorb a lot of that Too thick and well, it’ll absorb your bass as well, I’ve got my set of these out In the man cave, a tin shed, almost have all the tin sound out of the bass 😆 it still shakes whilst not shaking the tin…

Thanks! There's basically no way of turning it off expect for plugging them out from the power socket. You can change the source to something that's not connected to keep them quiet. How do the speakers turn on? With the puck? Or if the speakers are connected to a computer using the aux do the speakers turn on immediately?

Hey buddy is this speaker better than the z623?

If you want movie theater sound and a significant upgrade from a sound bar or tv speakers get these Logitech’s. Always get speakers that have a subwoofer because you will be able to actually hear the lows on movies the way they were meant to be heard. Also with these speakers you can change with the remote puck how much bass you wan. For $100 on Amazon (I got them on sale for $84) these speakers are a great value. These will completely change your tv or gaming experience. If you really want to upgrade you the tv itself I would recommend investing in a 4k OLED tv. Remember HD (high definition) tv’s only offer 1080P resolution which is very low quality so you want 4k OLED, not HD. The TV I recommend is the LG C1 tv for tv viewing and also gaming. You will have your TV for at least six or seven years so it’s important to not cheap out on them and invest in a nice TV for about $1,200. If you can’t afford that price look for used 4k OLED tv’s on Facebook Marketplace. If you set far from your tv bigger is better. I like a high quality movie theater experience when I watch tv, movies, and games so I sit six to ten feet from my 55 inch LG C1 tv. At normal living room to couch viewing distances I would recommend getting at least a 75 inch tv. The bigger the better. A lot of tv store sellers will let you pay it off gradually like $60 a month. Which is a good option if you don’t have enough to buy it immediately. You don’t want to buy a smaller tv and regret buying it, wishing you’d have went with a bigger tv.

1080p very low quality???? Are you ok? 1080p is still good quality, an 75 inch TV is to big for most people's homes that's why I always recommend a 60 inch which is the absolute perfect size. An obviously 4k is amazing but 1080p is still good quality. Terrible quality is anything below 720.

hey brother i just picked this up and there's a problem, micro usb audio input has noticeable audio lag and 3.5mm audio jack does not. that's a deal breaker for me unless you can help
@patheddles40043 жыл бұрын
That's probably just Windows setting the sound output buffer too large for that device. Change that in Windows settings, and the problem should go away. Probably.

Does this actually pair with your computer via Bluetooth and play audio via Bluetooth signal, or do the speakers require a connection to the computer and the hockey Puck basically is just connected via Bluetooth to adjust the sound level?
@stixforu123 жыл бұрын
I have these and the bluetooth remote just wont connect to anything anymore, just after a few months. the pairing light will blink but is not discoverable

Logitech makes wonderful mice, keyboards headsets but when it comes to speakers other companies like Edifier completely wipe the floor with them. Logitech speakers are not bad but there are clearly better options for similar money. The Z625 is not much cheaper compared to the S350 from Edifier but it's so much worse. Worse sound quality especially in mids and highs, worse build quality, worse looks, much less connectivity since no Bluetooth, no optical or coax input also no wireless remote.
@bsnf-5 Жыл бұрын
there is Bluetooth connection in these. And why would you need coax in if you have both USB and aux already? Lol

How do you make the puck work reliably instead of just when it feels like it?
@mahoneycreative46284 жыл бұрын
I loved these speakers and the hockey puck BUT the woofer makes a strange clicking noise. This apparently a common issue with this model. I read that there was a frequency issue but there was no clear answer to the cause or the fix from Logitech. Sadly I returned them and have been looking for a similar product.

Had this for a few years, it sucks terribly, sometimes when my PC is idle, it auto turns off when there is no audio playing in the background like a sleep mode, not only that, when my pc turned off, there is this terrible static sound coming out of both speakers, i need to manually tap the control to turn it off, it's unbearable, I will change a new sound system soon.

I have these speakers and headphones dont work with them. I connected speakers via usb port to PC and I plugged in headphones through the aux port in the back of the subwoofer and doesnt work. I selected from the puck white light and sound plays through speakers but when I select purple light , no sound comes from headphones. There’s no other input device to select on my pc either,.I am at a loss. If anyone knows the solution I would be grateful.
