What a great episode. I think there's something notable about how well you guys all focus up if you have some material to talk about at the top of the show. Then it naturally moves on to you all telling stories and sharing observations about each other's degeneracy. When you start off chatting about your day at work or whatever, I think it takes longer for the energy and the rhythm to find a good...uh... rhythm and energy.

Rogan even thinks Papi shouldn’t have made this into a special. Plenty of stand up comedians suck at stand up and comedy in general, but as they get better, they gain a following. It’s rare to have Brendan’s connections. He is clearly a fun bro to hang out with, but unfortunately I don’t think he has a chance to grow organically with stand up. If anything his audience will likely continue to shrink because he never had to build his audience authentically.
