Jordan Peterson was always someone that I didn't personally need, but I used to think he was an interesting and harmless guy who gave certain people some useful guidance in life. Now, he's picked this weird hill to die on and he's acting like what his critics used to mischaracterize him as.

Actually, clearly I have nothing better to do, so idk let me elaborate some of this shit while watching this bs, for anyone circumstantially confused and/or unexposed to this shit, because you are correct that the world is ass backwards... Personally, I could give a shit about this idpol "culture war" bullshit, entirely the point to be an inconsequential distraction away from material class politics, but idk if the supposed "facts" are in regards to gender _not_ being a social construction/performance, read like anything from a past episteme. Like read ancient Greek polemics/stories/art for example, and note the lack of/difference between our largely arbitrary contemporary gender distinctions within Greek culture, dudes and ladies fuckin whoever in wine orgies and shit, they too did not give any fucks, probably because of the slave class underneath said orgy class that ameliorated any social tensions by doing all the work. Or hell, look up Elagabalus, trans Roman emperor...granted, did not last long, but still, it's a thing is the point. Spoiler: as alluded to, the foundational root of the tense social miasma and ubiquitous alienation stems from the base of how we organize material reality in terms of ownership/control aka capitalism, which by its very definition orients two classes (working/employee | capitalist/employer) diametrically opposed in their material interests, the idealistic neutral arbiter between these classes over time merely becoming a political cudgel for the capitalist class's domination over the working class. As that Marx guy put it, _"the executive of the modern state is but a committee for managing the common affairs of the whole bourgeoisie."_ A thread of class struggle uncoincidentally visible throughout the entirety of human history, the modern age being carried forth in the fervent working class radicalism of the sans-culottes, with their idealism slowly falling out of favor with the bourgeoisie (owning class) in the National Convention during the French revolution as their egalitarian project encroached on this newly cemented middle-class material power, despite riding this momentum to overthrow the Ancien régime in the first place. Also, since this seems to be a pretty common conflation (and usefully so), liberals are _not_ the fucking left which is defined by a core anticapitalism literally everywhere but in the US (see: Manfacturing Consent by Chomsky/Herman for the corporate mass media's role in constricting these bounds), and additionally they fucking suck and have no values to speak of, yet are the ones prominently performing their contrived piety which is entirely hollow and ends immediately when it costs them personally anything materially of course; _this_ is the inauthentic pretentious bullshit that conservatives intuit, and correctly so, but then they are funneled into reactionary bullshit from these narrow mainstream boundaries of discourse and _lean into_ being the contemptuous asshole that liberals are underneath their annoying façade. _"The bourgeoisie has torn away from the family relationship its sentimental veil and has reduced it to a mere money relationship."_ This is illuminated especially clearly in the early 20th century with like Mussolini's March on Rome, him and his gang of dipshit thug blackshirts beating the shit out of labor leaders and essentially demonstrating their ability to reinforce the social order with violence (aka fascism, "the suppression of the left amidst popular enthusiasm" as Robert Paxton put it in The Anatomy of Fascism), to liberals' acquiescence. Hell, actual nazi Carl Schmitt's strategy for the nazi party was to exploit liberal capitulation by accumulating institutional power/ideological alignment over time until passing a threshold where full takeover cannot be legitimately challenged in a Reichstag fire -> Enabling Act template. Spoiler: it worked and is continuing to work again (also see: "Business plot", _actual_ fascist coup conspiracy by wall street plotted against FDR, only compromised by Maj.Gen.Smedley Butler who they asked to lead the coup but to their chagrin had a moral compass, this incident revealing his role in US imperialism in south america for the United Fruit Company, enforcing the Monroe Doctrine at the behest of the "gangsters of capitalism", also check out his book War is a Racket, fuck I digress sorry...jesus this is long, yeah no one's gonna read this lol...). Ok so, here's a different reference point to triangulate what I'm talking about: scholar (dot) princeton (dot) edu/sites/default/files/mgilens/files/gilens_and_page_2014_-testing_theories_of_american_politics.doc.pdf tldr; economic elites influence 90+% of government policy whose outcomes benefit and align with the interests of the capitalist class (shocker). There's more recent versions of this study that only further corroborates this, as if that isn't the most obvious thing in the fucking world (I mean...apparently not, so there). If you wanna cut through all the rhetorical bullshit pretty quickly/accurately, the _only_ political question is: cui bono? Who benefits? _“In their perpetual confusion, some liberal critics conclude that foreign aid and IMF and World Bank structural adjustments ‘do not work’; the end result is less self-sufficiency and more poverty for the recipient nations, they point out. Why then do the rich member states continue to fund the IMF and World Bank? Are their leaders just less intelligent than the critics who keep pointing out to them that their policies are having the opposite effect? No, it is the critics who are stupid not the western leaders and investors who own so much of the world and enjoy such immense wealth and success. They pursue their aid and foreign loan programs because such programs do work. The question is, work for whom? Cui bono?”_ - Michael Parenti Both load-bearing political parties in the US are entirely captured by corporate/finance capital and have been forever, even since their earlier iterations as the Whigs and such, Dems basically international capital and Reps more national/extractive capital (a continuity extending back to the founding of the US with the Hamiltonian eastern-banker mercantilist federalists/Jeffersonian yeoman farmer land-holding slave-owning antifederalists - the constitution merely a brokerage of convenience between these factions to suppress populist uprisings like Shay's/Whiskey Rebellion, and is pretty explicitly _antidemocratic_ despite our mythology; see the Federalist Papers which illuminate this extensively...like, idk, Federalist 10 by Madison if I recall). Which is why there is a bipartisan consensus _against_ socialism, which is merely working class control/ownership of the means of production...that's it. So uhhh...yeah...point is: Socialism or [continued] barbarism. (if unfamiliar this is a reference to the 1918 German uprisings/revolts that led to Weimar and Rosa Luxemburg's socialist party's political slogan; liberals once again demonstrating liberal "values" or lack thereof by directing party leaders' execution by the freikorps paramilitary, later becoming the SS shocker, at the behest of the _social democratic_ SPD led by Ebert, if give any shit) Or idk look at literally anything the CIA has ever done maybe, all the US involvement in "regime change", and ask the 'ol cui bono? The CIA is so fucking transparently the SS 2.0 for transnational corporate/finance capital, which, far from hyperbole, has a continuity to the _literal_ SS, folks like Otto Skorzeny (basically nazi james bond, Paladin Group), Klaus Barbie (the butcher of lyon, active in France then Bolivia for Operation Condor which was our overarching terror network over south america), Reinhard Gehlen (Gehlen Organization), among others put directly on the CIA's payroll post-WWII for their anticommunist "counterinsurgency" bona fides. Fuck, look up Operation Gladio and your mind will explode, also extremely relevant to Ukraine/NATO as an arms distribution network. There's a billion more ways to get at this but hopefully this can illuminate/triangulate the materially grounded understanding of this shit (see: dialectical/historical materialism aka OH NO MARXISM?! OH SHIT YOURE GONNA DIE IF YOU READ IT!!!! but seriously just fucking read the dude lol, there's a reason the capitalist class wants you to never do so, he gives up the entire game).

Over the past 10 years, the culture war has been immensely one-sided. Peterson's tonal change is to encourage us to punch back on the bad ideas. Pride is one such bad idea, especially in the context it's current tilt of elevating queer theory as virtue and gospel. Seriously, read up on queer theory if you haven't already; it's oh so constructive.
