Those of us who were watching in the first year remember Roosevelt with deep affection. My dad was a student of African-American history and culture, and loved Ro the instant he heard his name. From my dad's enjoyment, I learned that Roosevelt Franklin was special. I've missed him ever since.

I remember Roosevelt Franklin. Since his name is a reverse of Franklin Roosevelt (as in the President of the United States of America between 1933 and 1945, who got us through the Great Depression and World War Two), is it possible that Roosevelt Franklin's middle name is Delano?

Roosevelt Franklin was my idol as a little kid. I was the youngest child on my block and all of my neighbors went to school before I was old enough so I felt left out. I see that there is a 2009 episode 4195 in which a book featuring Placido's picture and Richard Hunt's name is seen, a nice tribute nod. I also like how one of the songs Jeff Moss recycled, if accidentally, for The Muppets Take Manhattan's Muppet Babies segment. Also, count me in as someone who was mystified that kids were afraid of Placido Flamingo. I always loved the character. Of course, he was a Richard Hunt signature character. I'm kinda biased about that. And let's not forget how Roosevelt Franklin was teased to be in a season 40 episode, but I don't think he actually appeared.
