It's a model's job is to be a walking coat hanger, they're not intended to be the focus of attention at a fashion show. The people are there to see the clothing not the models, and they want to be able to visualize themselves, or their clients, in the different garments as they see the models walk by in them. When these clothes are worn irl, the person is supposed to be the focal point and the dress is meant to compliment them.

If I were a person who had to walk red carpets, I would presumably have enough money to hire a professional atelier to make me bespoke clothing designed to fit my size and shape.

There is a difference between you wearing the clothes and the clothes wearing you. I noticed that in some cases celebrities discarded important accessories models wore and which created focal point and half of the look's attraction. So, no wonder on celebrities the outfit looked plain, unstylish and unflattering. Not always though. Some of the stars actually have taste and they look as good as the model.

Way too many of these "outfits" look like the results of a "make a dress out of curtains" challenge, followed by a "make a look out of tablecloths" assignment, and finally rounded up with "raid your child's art supplies" day. I'd say 50/50. The celebs looked better than the models in those mostly horrid outfits. In most cases, if stylists picked the outfits for the celebs, they should be fired. There was a lot of mismatched body type to outfit. Do these celebs look in a mirror before going out in the public?

The women are also fairly grotesque with a few exceptions,. The "slebs" are disfigured by cosmetic surgery, dollops of make-up, fake t its, mainly outside the outfits. Disgusting, exibitionistic and vulgar. Yuk.

But yes, a lot of the outfits again are not pleasant to look at but both the model and actresses are advertising the new collections generally. The actresses won’t have paid for the items they wear and therefore don’t get much of a choice. The couture lines are usually adapted for their customers for actual sale anyway.

It is sooo atrciously obvious how the dresses are BIGGER! They are not fitted to the body types and shapes at all. tio fit bone thin women, and just because a name is stuck on it, a woman will buy it and wear it to impress. I have made dresses that fit my body and style waaay better than half of what I saw. Honey, I hate to tell you this, but every dress company makes bigger dresses by simply cutting them bigger. I have boutght shirts that in a size 5, they fit someone well. Bought the same shirt in a size twelve, and my arms flap around in the yards of fabric and gigantic hole they call an armhole. half the time, my boobs are trying to fall out. Just because it's expensive and has a popular name slapped on it does NOT mean it will look good on you. Half on==f those dresses weren't even the same fabrics or colors the models wore. Granted, several looked better on the woman than the model, And what it with the yards of fabric in these ungodly ruffles and spikes everywhere? Just because the price tag has a lot of zeros does not mean it looks good on you. And take someone with you who will tell you the truth about how it looks. Do NOT listen to the saleswman that tells you "madam looks just perfect".

Models wear dresses different ly from celebs and movie stars. Most of the dresses are fitted for a tall very skinny young girl and movie stars are not tall leggy models they. mostly appeal through their personalities. The dresses don't fairly represent them although some celebs nicely fitted the dress and brought it out.Therr was a day when I modelled and could wear anything. I think we have to remember the age differences between the models and celebs. I really liked all the fashions. The women looked beautiful in them.
