The element logo is so genius. Its my favorite one for sure. The bottom half circle represents the ground. The top half divided into four representing the atmosphere. The whole circle is the seed being planted and nurtured and the tree grows from it in the center. Such an awesome design.

These videos bring back a lot of nostalgia. The Dogtown logo stands out to me, but in a weird way. It was popular around where I grew up because a local skate shop used a slightly altered version for their logo: Hogtown. Hogtown was an old nickname for Toronto as it was once known for all the pork processing back in the 1920s. Hogtown was definitely the place to go for skaters in the 80s/90s.

@@johnagen3688 It's true that skateboarding has had a great history of supporting local and up and coming brands and I do like the side of it your talking about. I agree in the sense I would never buy any Nike gear. But there is one positive to them gaining some traction in the industry and that's a whole lot of skaters now have gotten a whole lot more exposure and I'm sure in many cases it's allowed guys and gals who are wicked skaters to be able to have a career that IS skateboarding and not working a 9-5 to support their skateboarding. If the big brands allow more skaters to make a living skating then I'll look the other way. It's worth it.
